GREEN ARCHITECTURE

Green Technology refers to the development of processes, practices, and

applications that improve or replace existing technology that allow our needs to be met
while substantially decreasing our impact on the planet. Various Sectors such as
energy, agriculture and manufacturing needs to transform form the earlier use of
technology and practices and should move towards the green technology. (Hassenzah,
2015)
Green technology allows to produce more of the resources and meet the needs
of the energy requirement without compromising the needs of the future generation. For
example, use of alternative sources of energy such as solar and wind energy helps to
curb environmental pollution as they does not produce harmful gases such as carbon
dioxide and methane. Thus, the use better technology in the solar cells and wind energy
generation has a significant role to shift the energy targets from conventional sources to
renewable and green energy sources. Thus, green architecture focusses on the use of
green technology in the dwelling and various settlement so as to reduce the resource
use and provide the environment friendly and sustainable atmosphere for development.
(American Elements, 2015)
Green architecture allows for buildings to be constructed in a way, that they make
use of the existing natural light and guarantee adequate insulation to reduce energy
consumption. Such construction practices, will reduce energy use in lighting and by
reducing the amount of heat lost to the outside, eliminate the need for heating. Also the
construction material for technology will full filled by the urban waste and landfills. Thus,

it cuts down the emission significantly and helps in making the environmental clean and
green.
These building also comes with all the modern technologies and methods
through which energy can be conserved and used in the most effective way. For
example, it use energy efficient lighting, greener alternative sources of energy, electrical
and greener vehicles, waste management and generation of electricity from waste
water. The harsh environmental condition and the impacts of pollution and global
warming alarms for the use of green architecture. For example, the use of solid oxide
fuel cells to help in the elimination of greenhouse gas causing air pollutants and it
makes it possible for less emissions. (Kumar, 2015)
Thus, main aim of the green architecture is to promote sustainable energy which
reduces air pollution and promote greener technology. Thus, these architecture are
environmentally cohesive and reduce overall energy usage, contamination of our
environment, and consumer-generated waste.
