Definition of Islamic Religion

Islam
Literally :
Islam taken from Arabian word Aslama-Yuslimu-Islaman which
literally means 'Save'. For example 'Assalamu Alaikum' which
means May the save bless you all (Semoga Keselamatan
menyertai kalian semuanya in Indonesian). Islam is noun from
tense 'Aslama' = Have saved (Past Tense) dan 'Yuslimu' = Saving
(Past Continous Tense)

peace.1 To be more specific, Islam is taken from Arabian word,
Aslama, which means "to accept, surrender, or obey", in deeper
definition into God.2

The Truth of Islamic Religion3

Absolutely, Islam is the most truth and reliable religion, compare to the
others. But, not every people believe in it. Al Quran, the authentic
guidance of Islam, mentions many things in verses which proof the
truth of Islam, based on Al Quran.
1. They should arrange a sentence which is equal to Al Quran, to prove their
argument, if Al Quran is written by Muhammad. Q.S. Ath Thuur 342. Or you just pressed by their sayings, Al Quran is written by Muhammad. And
then said to them, Write ten verses by your words which is equal with that (Al
Quran), and ask anyone that will be your savior, except Allah if your proof was
right. Q. S. Huud 133. Is that polite for them to state, Muhammad make that Al Quran. Then said
Make one verse that equal with Al Quran, and ask anyone that will help you
except Allah, if your proof was right! Q.S. Yunus 384. If you still not sure about the truth of Our revelation which We gave into Our
people, make one verse which is equal to Al Quran, and call all of your savior
except Allah, if your proof was right. Q.S. Al Baqarah 235. Said, If the entire human and genie, together, make something like Al Quran, they
will never could, even if theyre help each other. Q.S. Al Israa 88-

Al Quran
Al Quran is the main source of Islam religion. Al Quran is Allahs
revelations which belong to His Rasul, Muhammad SAW. Al Quran
keeps and held by Allah SWT, as along with His verses:
We reveal the Quran and We really keep it. Q.S. Al Hijr 9Dont they watch and learn Al Quran? If the Al Quran wasnt
from Allahs side, they wont get any proof on it. Q.S. An Nisa 82-

Content inside of Al Quran, which is:

1. Main of faith (Tauhid) to Allah. Faith to angels, rasuls, holy books,
doomsday, destiny, and many more.
2. Syariah Principe. As based on human life to guide into right path
and keep a relation with Allah (hablun minallah, ibadah) and a
relation with other humans (hablun minannas, muamalah)
3. Promise and good news for good people and punishment for bad
people.
4. History in rasuls age (Tarikh).
5. Base of knowledge, like Science, Astronomic, Physics, Chemical,
Law, Geography, Geology, Medical, Economic, Agriculture,
Technology, Literacy, Culture, Sociology, Psychology, and many
more.

As Sunnah
Sunnah means habit. In Islamic terminologic, sunnah means what
Rasulullah Muhammad SAW did, said, and permitted. Sunnah is the
second source of Islam, after the Al Quran.

Kind of As Sunnah :

> Based on source

1. Fili (What Rasuls did)
2. Qauli (What Rasuls said)
3. Taqriri (What Rasuls permit)

> Based on people who said it

1. Mutawir, said by many people
2. Masyhur, said by many people, but not many as Mutawir
3. Ahad, said only by one person

> Based on quality

1. Shahih, good, healthy and official hadits.
2. Hasan, good, reach the require of Shahih, but not good enough
from the people who said it.
3. Dhaif, weak hadits.
4. Maudhu, fake hadits.

> Based on its accepted or rejected

1. Maqbul, which accepted

2. Mardud, which rejected

Difference between Al Quran and As Sunnah

Al Quran is absolut. And not all of As Sunnah is absolut, some of

them is nisbi zhanni.
Al Quran related with faith. And As Sunnah is just only thoughts.

In Islam, religion aspects separated into 3, which is Aqidah, Syariah,

and Akhlak

A. Aqidah
Aqidah is something that believed by humans, like religion
or other faith. Aqidah (faith) is something that first given by
Rasulullah and something that asked from humans to believe in
first step from other Islam step which is order from ever prophet
which sent by Allah SWT.
Aqidah in islam include faith in heart about Allah as the one
and only God. At first, we believing it by said syahadat, the first
Rukun Islam

B. Syariah
Syariah is ruled that created by Allah, about relationship
with God, relationship with other muslims, relationship with other
humans, relationship with nature, relationship with universe,
relationship with life.
Syariah basically means, the straight way. On Islamic law
experts opinion, syariah means Law that created by Allah SWT
for human. So they can apply it for life and afterlife, even that law
is related with habit, aqidah, and akhlak.

Syariah taken from Al Quran and Al Hadits, which have to

obey. Syariah based in two base aspects of life, which is ibadah
and muamalah.

C. Akhlak

Akhlak is based on habit, that would we do without our

relieve. If we do good things, it means that we have a good
akhlak (Akhlakul Mahmudah). And if we do bad akhlak, it means
that we have a bad akhlak (Akhlakul Mazmudah).

Akhlak is supposed to base on Al Quran and Al hadits.

Akhlak can be categorized into 3; Akhlak to Allah, Akhlak to
humans, and Akhlak to other creature.

Characteristic of Islamic Doctrine

In Islam, there are two major different doctrines. There are Sunni
and Syiah. Syiah is majority located in Iraq and Iran, which Sunni is on
Muslim in the rest of the world, just like Indonesia. Sunni is based on
Rasuls Sunnah.
