Siblings plan and organize the upcoming convocation hosted by the Manila Subchapter
A. Annual Retreat and Convocation of the OSL-Philippines Chapter
Venue: Martyrs Memorial United Methodist Church, Tambo, Paranaque
Date: October 21-23, 2014
Primary sources of budget:
o Registration fee for attending siblings
Php200 for Mindanao siblings
Php300 for Ilocos siblings
Php400 for Tarlac siblings
Php500 for Manila siblings
o Php100 for participants of the seminar on liturgy to be conducted on 22 October
2014(Wednesday)
o Funds
o Assistance from the bishops
Allocation of budget:
o Honorarium for the speakers
o Tarpaulin for the OSL Convocation and for the Heaven on Earth seminar
o Production of promotional materials for the seminar
o Food and drinks
o Other expenses
Possible lodging for attending siblings:
o Hotel in Tambo, Paranaque(estimated rate is Php400)
o Shalom Center (Php1900/room that can accommodate up to 6 persons)
o Members of MMUMC who are willing to accommodate the siblings
Siblings from outside NCR advised to arrive in Manila the night before our
convocation(October 20, 2014)

B. Activities for the 3-day Annual Convocation
Day 1(Tuesday-October 21, 2014)
o Business meeting to start at 8am
Discussion and ratification of the by-laws and constitution
Reports
Discuss state of subchapters(esp. the status of Tarlac Subchapter)
Consider organization of Pangasinan into a subchapter
Election of officers
Collection of dues
o Bonding time in the afternoon(possible MOA or other places)
Day 2(Wednesday-October 22, 2014)
o Heaven on Earth
Seminar on liturgy to be held from 8am-3pm
Open to all siblings and lay and clergy who are nonmembers of the OSL
Speakers
Bishop Rudy Juan to give a lecture on the Biblical Mandate on
liturgy(first part of the seminar)
Br. Joel to discuss pattern and form of heavenly worship(as
described in the Book of Revelation) and its connection with
worship on earth
Bishop Fernandez to speak on the historic development of the
Christian liturgy
The Very Rev. Tomas Maddela to tackle the rubrics(last part)
Speakers to deliver the lecture for 40 minutes plus 20 minutes of
discussion/interaction with the attendees
Br. Oliver to give the opening remarks/greetings
Br. Paul designated as registrar
o Liturgy of the hours to be observed and open to non-OSL attendees of the seminar
o 3pm onwards will be spent on dealing with other unfinished businesses
Day 3(Wednesday-October 23, 2014)
o Profession of Vows and Installation of Officers
o End on or before lunch to allow the siblings from far places to leave early
C. Look into the possibility of holding the convocation outside Luzon(e.g. Bukidnon) or even
outside the Philippines(e.g. Singapore)
D. Consider organizing summer retreat hosted by the Manila Subchapter
E. Investment of holy hardware by each subchapter
F. Submit the report of this meeting to the Prior for comments and suggestions
