OBJECTIVES
By the end of the lesson,
- The students will have acquired 11 new vocabulary
items: Cast, Cameo Role, Setting, Director, Stunt,
Dialogue, Plot, Score, Dubbing, Subtitles, and Sequel.
AIMS (Basic Concerns)
I will work on my students:
-acquisition of the above mentioned newly introduced
vocabulary items;
- writing skills: using new words to write
- writing skills
ASSUMPTIONS (Language related)
I assume that the students like the topic and that they
will participate in the activities I previewed for the class.

PROCEDURE
3 minutes: Mime game I will ask for a
volunteer, he/she will stand in front of the
class and try to mime out movie
characters : Rambo, Rocky, Terminator,
Sherlock Holmes, Dracula, Homer Simpson,
James Bond, Gollum, Forest Gump.
3 minutes: In order to introduce the topic,
I will ask them questions about movies,
whether they like movies, and what kind of
movies they like.
10 minutes: I will give the students a
handout with a dialogue about movies; they
will take turns to read it. We will go through
the vocabulary items, and then I will give
them a handout with new vocabulary. I will
ask them if there are any words that they
do not know.
13 minutes: I will give the students certain
situations in which they are supposed to
work in pairs. Each pair will be given a
different situation. They will have 7 minutes
to do that, and then we will read them.
Home work give instructions.
15 minutes: I will give them the handouts
with movie poster on them, and they will
have 10 minutes to write a movie review,
