Awards/ Distinction
2012 Three Best Paper Awards (Ragitha & Annalakshmi; Lijo & Annalakshmi; Sreenath &
Annalakshmi) at the 47th National and 16th International conference of IAAP held at Toc H
Institute of Science & Technology, Cochin.
2010 Best Faculty Award 2010-2011 for having been adjudged for the faculty of Psychology of
teachers in higher education in Tamil Nadu and Kerala States by The Nehru College of
Educational and Charitable Trust, Coimbatore.
2010 Best Paper Award for the paper adjudged as the best paper presented at the 45th National and
14th International conference of the Indian Academy of Applied Psychology (IAAP) On Quality
of Life and Globalization: Effective Self Care Interventions held at Andhra University from 18 th
to 20th February. The award paper authored Annalakshmi, N. and Ragitha, R. was titled
Psychological Distress, Psychological Well-Being and Emotional Expressivity among Hearing
Impaired Adolescents.
2007 Best Paper Award for the paper adjudged as the best paper selected for the award among the
papers presented at the8th National Conference on Indian Psychology and Integral Teaching

Personality, Positive Psychology (particularly Psychological Resilience), Integral Psychology, Health
Psychology, and Clinical Psychology.
She has furthered the scope of probabilistic orientation (a style of life orientation) research. She has
integrated probabilistic orientation with Integral Psychological Interventions based on Sri Aurobindo
Integral Yoga.
Current Research
The research interest revolves around studying the nature and dynamics of resilience, studying
resilience from developmental perspective, formulating intervention programs to build up resilience
among children and adolescents as well as adults at high risk. She is interested in collaborative
research in the following areas:
The role of individual factors, familial factors and other social factors influencing resilience in high
risk groups like street children, troubled youth, orphans, HIV victims, socially marginalized group, etc.
Studying the phenomenon of resilience in developmental perspective.
Culture and Resilience
Role of psychological resilience in health regulatory behaviors or diseases
Evolving and testing the efficacy of Resilience building programs.
Application of Integral Psychology in academic and clinical settings.
