BASKETBALL- HISTORY

Basketball was invented by Dr. James Naismith, a physical education teacher at Springfield
College in Massachusetts. Naismith invented the game in 1891 as a way to keep students fit
during the long New England winters .The first game was quite different from the modern
game of basketball. Players played with a soccer ball and scored points by shooting the ball
into peach baskets, which were used instead of nets.
The game of basketball quickly grew in popularity in the early 1900s. Beach baskets were
replaced with metal hoops and backboards in 1906. From the very beginning, basketball
was played by both women and men. The Basketball Association of America and National
Basketball League merged to form The National Basketball Association (NBA), in 1949.

CURRENT:
Today, basketball is played at the youth, amateur, and professional level, worldwide.

Today, the WNBA and FIBA use contrasting panels. The men's ball is 30" in
circumference and the smaller women's ball is 29" in circumference.
Major rule changes over the years addressed the number of players, the court
boundaries and dribbling,
Initially, players were not allowed to re-enter the game, but the rule was changed to
permit players to return to the game an unlimited number of times.
Now there are five players on each team, instead of nine.
The ball may be thrown in any direction with one or both hands

RULER VIOLATION:

A violation results in the awarding of the ball to the opponents.

It can also result from the player taking more than two steps without bouncing the ball
on the floor.
When he player bounces the ball with both hands on the ball.

BALONCESTO HISTORIA
El baloncesto fue inventado por el Dr. James Naismith , profesor de educacin fsica en la
universidad de Springfield en Massachusetts. Naismith invent el juego en 1891, como una
manera de mantener a los estudiantes en forma durante los largos inviernos de Nueva
Inglaterra .El primer juego era bastante diferente del juego moderno del baloncesto. Los
jugadores jugaron con un baln de ftbol y anotaron puntos por lanzar el baln en cestas de
melocotn, que fueron utilizados en lugar de las redes.
El juego de baloncesto rpidamente creci en popularidad a principios de 1900. Cestas de
la playa fueron reemplazadas con los aros metlicos y tableros en 1906. Desde el principio,
el baloncesto fue jugado por las mujeres y los hombres. La Asociacin de Baloncesto de
Amrica y la Liga Nacional de Baloncesto se fusionaron para formar la Asociacin
Nacional de Baloncesto (NBA) , en 1949.
ACTUALIDAD:
Hoy en da, el baloncesto se juega en los jvenes, aficionados, y a nivel profesional, en todo
el mundo.

Hoy en da, la WNBA y FIBA utilizan paneles contrastantes. El Baln de los

Los principales cambios de reglas en los ltimos aos se dirigieron a la cantidad de
jugadores, de los lmites de la corte y el regate,

regla se cambi para permitir a los jugadores volver al juego un nmero ilimitado de
veces.
Ahora hay cinco jugadores en cada equipo, en lugar de nueve.

REGLAS: VIOLACION:

Una violacin da lugar a la adjudicacin del baln a los oponentes.

Tambin puede deberse a que el jugador toma ms de 2 pasos sin rebotar el baln en
el suelo
