ADDRESS TO SADHAKS

We are all born but only a few of us learn to live when the rest are busy surviving.
Survival is a constant struggle against the tide of the self created inflections. Survival
is not living. Freedom defines the wonder that unlocks the divinity in all beings.
Freedom is what all men deserve. Freedom is what must be earn through dedication.
A man must learn to stand for something only then has he truly lived.
A belief which one must adhere to so he may find strength in the time of challenge.
Like steel is forged in flame, a man is forged by his dedication and so if you truly
wish to live, learn to pay the price. If one wants blessings to be continuous, then the
dedication too must be continuous as what we achieve defines us. What we achieve is
directly proportionate to the price we are willing to pay - for our society, our country,
our family and ultimately ourselves.
The day I became conscious, I was taught by my father that just as sickness can be
passed from one man to another, just as a disease spreads, so you have the power to
spread joy, happiness and divinity to your fellow men. A novel thought which I had
the fortune to see in action in the years of my life.
One man - my Baba - on a solo mission to spread divinity. And I saw he was right.
From one he became many and now a wave walks with him. So I too joined him as I
saw either I could waste my life complaining about the spread of disease or I could be
the architect in the spreading of the light. So I too dedicated to the cause and in the
happiness of the world that was created by the sweat of my father I truly felt alive.
God and devil both cannot saddle in the same man and if one chooses divinity, like
the kings of old rode their horses to battle one's guru marches him to victory, a feeling
second to none. Like a bird flying into the sunset, I too find my purpose and in its
fulfillment I found life. I found myself.
Birthdays are to celebrate a day happened in the past. I learned to disconnect from the
past a long time ago. People say satyug was past. They say Shiva walked the earth
but as for me, what I have seen, I have come to believe more in the good of humanity.
I believe in the capabilities of all my Shiv Yog brothers so I say satyug will come and
Shiva will walk again.
I will work hard with all the Shiv Yogis behind me, my Baba before me, leading me
as for us Shiv Yogis, satyug is not a past to be remembered but a future to be created
so I dont remember the past I celebrate the present and prepare for the future. I was
born a long time ago but I am starting to live now with all of you beside me.
Here is something for you all to remember - You a have a big and loving family.
Bless you!
Love you!
Ishan Shivanand
