91071 Digital Information (15 periods including assessment)

It is assumed that this is the first Achievement Standard for the level 1 course. If this is not the case, adjust lesson 1 (intro material not needed)
Each week in term 1, there should be a focus on one of the Usability Rules until all 10 rules have been covered. Start by introduction the rules during the
first lesson. Then each week
- Update the forum with the advert for that week
- Remind learners to update their Usability template with a suitable example
- Encourage them to post to the FB page / Usability forum
- End the week with a cartoon and the matching Kahoot quiz
See Y12 Plan for details / links as similar material needs to be covered both at L1 and L2
Notes from 2015 Make sure learners know how to implement data integrity measures. Get them to.
- manually calculate the sum of a column by copying the data into word, replacing the extra <enters> with <+> signs and then copying this into a
calculator. They should screenshot the key parts of the process as proof that their sum formula is working
- Spot check at least three lines of their spreadsheet. Ie: manually work through the formula for three lines of their spreadsheet to confirm that their
formulae are correct
- Show that they have print previewed their document / printed to .pdf and then looked at it made changes to it (for example by adding in page
breaks / adjusting the placement of images)
