1. Como segundo de dos verbos seguidos

1. A veces tenemos dos verbos seguidos en ingls (igual
que en espaol, p.ej. quiero comer, deberas callarte
etc)
La forma del segundo verbo es un asunto importante, que se examina en todos los niveles de
examen. Debemos tener claro en cul de estas 3 formas ir el segundo verbo.

BEGIN, START, CONTINUE Se pueden utilizar con las dos formas (TO+Infinitivo o
Gerundio (ING)) en el Segundo verbo, indistintamente
LIKE, HATE, LOVE, PREFER Que en presente simple el Segundo verbo puede ir en las
dos formas (to + infinitive o gerundio) indistintamente. Sin embargo, en condicional
(would like, would prefer, would hate, would love) el segundo va con TO + infinitivo
obligatoriamente.

momento de hacer estos verbos, cualquier segundo verbo (accin) est AUN POR HACER

Y tambin, si lo pensamos bien,

(Porque si la persona o cosa parece hacerlo, no es seguro que se est haciendo. No
podemos decir que se ha hecho)
Aqu hay una lista. Mrenlo e intenten encajar los verbos con la regla

Nota: deny, admit y recall, refirindose a una accin en el pasado puede expresarse en
present perfect, pero con el have en Gerundio (Having). Esto es algo ms formal que
solamente usar el gerundio del verbo

El verbo representa un propsito (ojo, esto encaja con nuestra regla: accin aun
por hacer)

It (u otro sujeto) + BE
+ adjetivo (normalmente de facilidad, dificultad,
(in)conveniencia etc,)
FIND it (u otro objeto)
It is very difficult to understand why people go there
English is easy to speak but difficult to spell
At first, John found it difficult to understand the language
At first john found the people quite hard to speak to
Would it be convenient to call you tomorrow?

B) GERUNDIO (ING)
Un verbo va en Gerundio (ING) en los siguientes casos:

Infinitivo o Gerundio

Por esta razn un verbo que sigue a un phrasal verb siempre ser en gerundio
(esos verbos siempre contienen uno de estos preposiciones)
Y tambin despus de:
Than*, as, when, despite
He hasnt worked since leaving University
It is dangerous to drinking when driving
I prefer going out to staying in
Going out is more enjoyable than staying in
Reading English is not the same as speaking it
Im looking forward to seeing you
*OJO: si se trata de would (d) rather than va en infinitive sin TO
(ver pgina 1)
