On Saturday, officers responded to a bar

near 9th Street and Cloquet Avenue
regarding a domestic disturbance. During
the investigation, a 45 year old Cloquet man
was arrested for 5th degree domestic assault
and violation of a no-contact order. A 45
year old Cloquet woman was also arrested
for domestic assault.
On Tuesday, officers responded to a
domestic disturbance in the 700 block of
29th Street in Scanlon. During the
investigation, a 29 year old Cloquet man
was arrested for 5th degree domestic assault.
A second male in the company of the
suspect was also arrested for violation of
probation.

On Wednesday, officers received a call

from an off-duty Carlton County
Deputy regarding a male inside a local
retail store on Highway 33 South. The
male had an outstanding felony
warrant. Officers responded to the
store and made contact with the
suspect, a 29 year old Cloquet man.
After making contact with the male
and as the officer began escorting him
out of the store, the male pulled out of
the grasp of the officer and began
fleeing on foot. The officer quickly
caught the male and took him into
custody.
On Thursday, one of our officers was
on patrol near Laurel Street and Poplar
Avenue. During this detail, the officer
made contact with two suspicious
persons. After attempting to identify
the parties, one of the subjects, a 22
year old Cloquet woman was arrested
after giving a false name to the officer.
Once identified, the woman was found
to have a no contact order in place,
restraining her from having contact
with the 21 year old Cloquet man that
she was with. The woman was
arrested and lodged at the Carlton
County Jail for violation of a nocontact order and false name and date
of birth to police.
Have a nice weekend,

Steven K. Stracek
