AU Summer University is a portfolio of courses representing a large variety of academic focus areas at AU. Students can apply online for courses from December 1- March 15. You will have to nominate your students
by sending an email to dfs@au.dk.
All of the courses are 5 ECTS and 10 ECTS courses at the Bachelor or
Masters level taught in English by international guest lecturers and AU
teachers.

A wide variety of courses are taught in English. However, the selection
of courses varies from semester to semester. Thus students should ask
when applying. Please see the course catalogue at

Courses are assessed with ECTS points
One academic year: 60 ECTS = full time study
30 ECTS per semester
-3 to 12 (Equivalent to ECTS grades F-A). Twelve is the highest grade
02 or higher
Majority of courses taught in English are on MA/MSc level. Courses are
assed with different ECTS points. On each facultys homepage you will
find information about credits awarded for each course, allowing you to
plan your academic year. Please note that we normally require students
to be studying full-time (that is: taking 30 ECTS per semester)
Yes, after consulting the faculty or research group concerned
Proficiency in English or Danish depending on the courses chosen. Exchange students at AU are expected to have English language qualifications comparable to for example TOEFL test results of at least 560
(paper based test) or 83 (internet based test). IELTS test with a minimum
score of 6.5 points.
Few institutes and one faculty require a language test
The International Centre offers housing service to all exchange students.

Health Insurance
Students staying for more than 3 months are covered by the Danish
Health Insurance after having received CPR-number (apply upon arrival).
Students staying less than 3 months have to obtain a private health insurance before arriving to Denmark.
Third Party Liability Insurance
It is the responsibility of the student to take out insurance (from home)
for your personal belongings, accidents and third party liability while
studying in Denmark. Aarhus University does not cover any losses that
may occur.
