25,000 people gathered last night at San Joss National Stadium to celebrate the
official
close of The Central American Games. Costa Rican President Laura Chinchilla
officially closed the games with a speech and the announcement that the XI
Central American Games in four years will be held in Managua.
Costa Rica came out with a total of 285 medals at the events end, falling only
behind Guatemala, which claimed 292. Costa Rica also claimed the second

gold medals with 93, again falling behind Guatemala with an even 100.
