demonstrate that you have reached the competency
band required by the Kementerian Pendidikan

through the course easily and as painlessly as possible.

Your Quick
Start Journey

You are here to complete your KPM ICT literacy requirement. This guide is
intented to walk you through the ICT Literacy Course. It is divided into the
following sections:
1) Enter into ETLN Network will take you through the steps to get
started with the course. Here, we will show you how to log in to the
website where you will take the course. This course is made available
in two (2) languages, English and Bahasa Malaysia.
2) Taking the Course in English will guide you on how to take the course
in English. In this section, you will be guided with steps on where to find
your courses, how to track your progress, and what does the course
look like.
3) Mengambil Kursus Dalam Bahasa Malaysia will guide you with steps
on how to take course in Bahasa Malaysia.
4) ICT Literacy Compentency Self-Assessment will show you how to assess
your compentency in ICT literacy.
The flow chart on the next page will help you start the course immediately.

Your Quick Start Journey

Before you can begin your journey through the ICT Literacy Course, you should
have received a login credential. If you havent, please contact
our Support Assistance.

1. Type into your browser address bar: http://www.etln.edu.my

Hint: You must type the full address; dont google it, it might take you somewhere else.

2. Enter your User name and Password given, then click OK.

Note: The login view will be different for different browsers

3. Click on >Login to @learn.

4. Once you are in the homepage, on the left of your screen, click on Courses.
Then, click on Enrolled Courses.

5. Next, click on ICT100 DIGITAL LITERASI course

6. This course is available in two (2) languages: Bahasa Malaysia via

ETLN @learn and English via IT Academy.

Note: If you choose English, you will be redirected to Microsoft IT Academy page. Your progress report will be
based on percentage completed in the IT Academy learning portal.
If you choose to take the course in Bahasa Malaysia, the page will show you the list of lessons.

Taking the course on IT Academy allows for an interactive learning opportunity.

Before you can do so, you will need to activate your courses. Note that you will only
need to update your profile once.

Get Started
1. To begin your course in English, click English in the ICT100 Digital Literasi.

1. You will be redirected to a log in page. Enter your UserID with addition of
@etln.edu.my and click Enter on your keyboard. (e.g. [username]@etln.edu.my)

2. Check the I Accept box and click Continue

3. Update your profile and click Save.

Front Page View
The homepage of IT Academy consists of three (3) colored boxes
(green, red, and blue), which are labelled My Courses, My Achievements,
and Help Topics, respectively

My Courses: List of all the modules and learning plans that you have been
assigned.

My Achievements: List of all the completed modules along with a computer

generated certificate.

Help Topics: Common FAQ of problems you may encounter.

Browsing through the Modules
1. On the homepage of IT Academy, click on My Courses.
2. Under Learning Plan, scroll to see the list of modules you have
been assigned to.

Note: To avoid any lost of progress, always click on the Green Arrow at the top of
your screen to return to the previous page.

3. To start on any of the modules assigned, hover your cursor over the
word Course and click the Play button.

Note: You may need to switch off your popup blocker

here and install Silverlight plug-in.

Tracking Your Progress
1. Under each of the assigned modules, you can view the topics
covered by the modules and track your progress.
2. The Syllabus icon allows you to view your completed modules.

Note: Your progress will be updated within 24-hours.

Once you have begun any of the modules, IT Academy will allow for
automatic resumption of the module the next time you log back
into the system. Click on Resume Last Course on the homepage.

1. To view the modules you have completed, click My Achievements
located on the homepage.

Print Your Modules Certificate
For your keepsake, IT Academy allows you to download and print a
computer generated certificate upon completion of any modules.
1. On the homepage, click My Achievements.
2. Under each completed modules, click Print Certificate.

Self-Assessment
Upon completion of the assigned courses, this course offers a
self-assessment that allows you to demonstrate your competency in
ICT literacy. Successfully completing this self-assessment will recognize your
competency in the criteria set by Kementerian Pendidikan Malaysia (KPM).
A new link will now appear in your course page. Click on the Go button
to start your self-assessment. You will have 60 minutes to complete the
30-questions multiple choice self-assessment with a minimum requirement
of 80% correct by 30th November, 2015. You will have unlimited number of
tries to take the self-assessment.

(General Walkthrough of ETLN)

Update Profile
1. On your ETLN homepage, select the Profile icon to update your profile

2. Be sure to update your profile with the most accurate and up-to-date
information. This will help your administrator to contact you in case there
are any concerns or clarification needed.

1. As a part of this course, you are given a Microsft Office 365
accountl for your professional use. To access your e-mail, click on either
one of the E-mail icon.

2. You will be re-directed to the Office 365 portal. Click on Mail.

2. Resource Exchange is a where you can store and share your resources
such as lesson plans, articles, and more with others in the same ETLN
community as you.
a) To store resources as a part of your cloud storage, click
on My Library.
b) To share and view other resources in your community, click on
Public Library.
