ABSTRACT
In todays scientific world, engineering has given us an enormous
necessary device, which changes the way of lifestyle of human-beings. And its
world known truth that one day one day therell be no petrol any more in
future and then there will be nothing except past memories.
And we believe that smarter engineers who have great faith that soon they
will find some way to tackle this problem.
And the main motive to execute this experiment to show you all guys that
how much these fuel is different from each other in each trait and whatll be
the conclusion on using different fuel for this scooter
Now we all know that during combustion of hydrogen fuel large amount of
pollutants emits like CO2, NO, CO because of incomplete combustion, and
obviously it is affect the performance of vehicle. So our fore most aim belongs
to enhance new fuels like HHO, LPG, CNG, etc. And execute test on gasoline
engine of (110CC) HERO MAESTRO with different fuel specially LPG, Petrol,
petrol+HHO. Belt rope dynamometer, mounting frames and experiment setup
were designed and fabricated. Performance and emission analysis has been
done by using petrol, petrol HHO and LPG separately on engine.
Key words: Four-Stroke Petrol Engine of (110cc) Hero Maestro, LPG, Petrol,
Oxygen Enriched Hydrogen Gas HHO, Emission Characteristics, Performance
Characteristics.

1. INTRODUCTION
We all know that how much fuel is necessary for us in our life and whats its
important in our life from titanic to baby-scooter every vehicle runs of fuel and we
cant imagine our life without fuel. Just think what happen if there will be now more
fuel its directly signed toward our privacy our comfort more than that its a worse.
Need for this paper arises because of shortage of crude-oil resources for satisfying
our needs and papers catches attention to develop a system which can serve as a basis
of driving wheels (1)
The goal of this work is to search out constituent of exhaust gases from IC engine
when petrol is used. This paper inspire to find out the fuel that produce minimum
pollution when used in the same auto-vehicle, thereby finding eco-friendlier fuel (2)
Evaluated the effect of adding steady quantity of hydrogen to the petrol-air
mixture for S.I engine As a result that addition of hydrogen helped brake specific fuel
consumption of petrol decreased about 11.5%, while the thermal efficiency and the
air/fuel ratio increases(3)
This point will show you how fuel is important, Russia and America both trying to
claim on north-pole because nearer area of north-pole is major source of fuel. And
ready to war for that landscape. (From discovery)
Our government spends many pennies for fuel saving campaign and
advertisements. We cant make fuel in our home but we can do one thing we can use
it wisely.
And with new fuels comes in existence like LPG, CNG, Electrical, HHO the
performance rate increases and fuel consumption decreases.
Now, LPG (liquid petroleum gas)
LPG is prepared by refining petroleum or
"wet" natural gas, being manufactured during the refining of petroleum (crude oil), or
extracted from petroleum. And a mix of propane and butane, LPG emits less carbon
per joule than petrol. And thats the only Reason why we used LPG in heavy vehicles.
In last 5 year a kind of supplement fuel also comes in trend .we recently introduce
HHO or oxy hydrogen gas as a supplement of conventional fuel in two stroke engine.
And as alternate fuel which is produce by electrolysis process of water. And what it
makes it different from any other fuel its reduce heavy gas-emission and increases the
performance of vehicle as compare to solo petrol and LPG with great margin.

3. SUPPLY OF FUEL IN SYSTEM

3.1. LPG SUPPLY TO THE ENGINE

Figure 1 Simplified Diagram of LPG Supply to the Engine

LPG fuel supply system is basically low-tariff as compare to any other fuels used
in internal combustion engine. It provides regular fuel to engine as per performance
requirement. LPG fuel working mechanism is little bit similar to the petrol except is
tot the convertor.
The main goal of converter is to provide pressurized inlet gas mixture to the
carburetor for further supply to engine. converter has 3 ports one of them is inlet LPG
gas from cylinder second one is the outlet of LPG and third is vacuum port it the
converter outlet of LPG bridge air-filter and carburetor with help of duct.
The LPG flows from cylinder to convertor through the duct via controlled due to
pressurized gas not directly sent to the engine so we use converter that regulates the
pressure flow and deliver it to the engine that of much of pressure delivered to
carburetor and inlet gas mix with air sucked from atmosphere through air filter.

3.2. HHO SUPPLY TO ENGINE

its one of the best supplement fuel which can work with gasoline SI engine that also
reduced pollution and raises the efficiency of vehicle in all possible direction and
make vehicle enough eco-friendly.
The main reason of loss in efficiency and emission of pollutant is incomplete
combustion of fuel. And causes inefficiency, raises the fuel consumption and produce
emission for the complete combustion piston should be completely under stress before
pre-ignition and when hydrogen gas imported along with fuel. Excess hydrogen
support fuel to burn effectively and raises mechanical efficiency and loading capacity
of vehicle.

4. RESULT ANALYSIS
1. From the given stats we can explain that CO2% volume of petrol with respect to load
increases where the LPG and HHO gas was less than petrol over the entire range of
load. It is favorable condition to make pollution free environment.

2. In here considering NOx% of vol. increases against the load for LPG only Petrol and
HHO its create favorable condition.

3. From below stats it indicates that I.S.F.C. of petrol with respect to load decreases
with load but it is not efficient in comparison to LPG and HHO.

4. From below stats. It indicates that mechanical efficiency of petrol with respect to load
decreases, where Mechanical efficiency of LPG and HHO was much higher than
petrol over entire range of load.

5. Below stats. Indicates that TFC of petrol is lofty with respect to load increases. The
TFC of LPG and HHO gas was less than petrol over the whole range of load.

6. Below stats indicate that the Brake thermal efficiency of petrol with respect to load
decreases. Where the brake thermal efficiency of LPG was higher than petrol and
HHO over a complete range of load.

5. CONCLUSION
Here in this experiment we compare Petrol, LPG, HHO fuels on the basis of
performance and emission for single cylinder 4 stroke 110 cc maestro. And after the
comparison great variation is found. So the following conclusions are given as follow:
1. Enhance the engine performance in terms of brake power, mechanical efficiency,
indicated power and knocking characteristics.
2. The maximum brake thermal efficiency for 110cc maestro is observed. 55% with
petrol, 62% obtained by LPG and HHO gives 51.7%.
3. With increment of brake thermal efficiency and carbon monoxide, unused oxygen
and hydrocarbons smoke reduces with increases in additives.
4. Emission of CO2 and NOX is found minimum for HHO fuel.
5. Mechanical efficiency against load is maximum for HHO fuel with 78% where LPG
with 72% and Petrol with 63.8%
