The above data reflects the extent to which the initial momentum resembled the post-collision momentum. According to the Momentum Conversation Principle,
the initial momentum should equal the final momentum in a closed system. The % D column, reflecting the relative difference between the initial and final
total momentum reflects that most of our trials showed a relative difference of less than 10%. These similarities are profound, even despite some outliers, and
reinforce the notion that momentum in a closed system (unlike our own, which introduced variables such as friction) should be conserved.
