Problem Statement:
The various options Nitish have with him related to him working at Solutions Unlimited are as
follows:
1. Leave the company - If Nitish leaves the company, he will have many good options career
wise as he has already experience working on multiple projects at Solutions Unlimited. He will
also be able to start afresh in his new company whereas he has bad image in the current
company. On the other hand, this option may not work as there is no guarantee that he will not
face such more people and changing jobs frequently is not considered good for career growth.
2. Stay in the company If Nitish stays in the company, he can talk to Manish Chawla about the
issues he is facing in Solutions Unlimited, and he can try to smoothen out things with Meena and
Mr. Alagu. It can also happen that eventually things will improve and everything will work out
for Nitish as he is being supported by top management and has proved his competence by
working on various projects. The other consequences of this option can be that negligible support
from top management because Mr. Khurana and Mr. Kapoor are already about to leave the
company who were a big support to Nitish. There is already a high hostility by Meena and Mr.
Alagu so Nitishs stay in the company may never improve the situation.
3. Move to Nagpur If Nitish moves to Nagpur, the prospects for this option can be that he will
away from Meena and Mr. Alagus politics towards him. He will get to be involved in a good
project at Nagpur for which he had only done bidding. Maybe the distance might make the
relation between him and Meena fonder and also his image might change for her. But, it may
also happen that if he moves to Nagpur things may not change at all when he returns and
meanwhile he will also loose contact with the top management which he had gained in
Hyderabad.

Evaluation criteria:
Impact on Personal Life: Nitish has a liability of his wife and as they have relocated to
Hyderabad they are not yet settled. His friendship with Arvind might be affected as he was the
one who referred Nitish to Solutions Unlimited.
Impact on professional life: If Nitish leaves the company, he can get a tag of job changer and will
be perceived as the one who is unable to adjust to one job. This will hamper his career growth.
Economic condition: If Nitish leaves this job, it might affect his economic condition as after
leaving the company and till he finds a new job there will be no source of income for him.

Evaluating options:
1) Staying in the company:
a. The impact on personal life is likely to be positive. He and his wife can live a calm and
luxurious life as he is getting a good salary pay from Solutions Unlimited. They can settle in
Hyderabad and live a happy life.
b. Professionally, Nitish is enjoying his work in the company as he got the profile he wanted. He
is getting to work for multiple projects where he is able to hone his skills. He should continue
working for the company as he is also getting the package he desired.
c. There will be no impact on his economic conditions since he is getting his desired salary in the
current company.
2) Resigning from the Company:
a. His relationship with his friends may get hampered as they were the one who brought him into
the company. He may have to relocate his family to a new destination. A chaos will be created in
his personal life.
b. The resigning from company will impact his professional life. If he resigns only due to
differences with HR manager, it will create a negative impact on his career. This shows his
inability to sort out problems as he may face same situations in other companies also. Further, he
has to justify his move in next organization which may give a bad impression on them.
c. The economic condition will not be healthy. He has to give up all the luxuries which he was
enjoying at Solutions Unlimited.

Recommendations:
We recommend that Nitish should try to sort out the differences between him and Meena and Mr.
Alagu by tactfully communicating with them. Nitish is a friendly person and should project this

attitude of his in front of Meena. For the problems that he faced because of Meena, he should not
take help from the senior management, rather he should try and resolve the issue himself. Apart
from this, Solutions Unlimited should modify their organization structure by clearly defining the
tasks, roles and responsibilities. Vacant roles should be filled in with potential candidates or
proper training should be provided if role is performed by other department employees. Policies
related to hiring and relocation, severance payment should be changed as per the industry
standards as the company is in transition so hence it should acquire the new policies related to
consulting firm. Employees need to be properly trained and continuous feedback must be taken
in order to improve interactions among the employees. Employee engagement, employee
satisfaction has to be monitored regularly.
