Photovoltaic Skylight, ING Direct, Madrid (Spain)

Set of Photovoltaic Solutions, Lamezia Terme, Calabria (Italy)

Architect: SP Arquitectura
Client: ING Direct

General Contractor: Onyx Solar

Architect: Studio di architettura Pontoriero
Client: Mediterranea Terina Foundation

ING DIRECT, the largest online bank in the world, opted for Onyx Solars technology integrating a photovoltaic skylight in the central garden of their
office building in Madrid.
The 230 sqm skylight is comprised of glazing units of amorphous silicon with a 20% semitransparency level. This allows natural light transmission to the
inner courtyard, filtering at the same time the ultraviolet and infrared radiation, preventing damages to the inside furniture, to people, and preventing
the greenhouse effect so common in glass buildings.

The retrofit of the Mediterranea Terina Foundations buildings in Calabria is very unique, and sets a milestone for Onyx Solar. This is due to the fact that
the complex has 3,000 sqm of photovoltaic glass integrated in different places: skylight, walkable floor, parking lot and an elevator with panoramic
views.
The Mediterranea Terina Foundation is a center of excellence dedicated, among other activities, to the research and knowledge of the food industry
through a network of Italian and foreign universities.

Photovoltaic Skylight, Conil City Hall, Cadiz (Spain)

Photovoltaic Backyard Wall, Avila (Spain)

General Contractor: DANIANA

Client: Conil City Hall

General Contractor: Onyx Solar

This photovoltaic skylight, developed by Onyx Solar for the City Hall of Conil, has more than 94 sqm. A low-e glass was chosen for this project since it
allows natural light transmission. Its installed capacity is 12,2 kWp and generates more than 19,144 kWh per year.

Onyx Solar has installed its first photovoltaic backyard wall in a residential house in Avila, Spain.
The glass installed is very innovative, since it is comprised of frosted and anti-reflective glass with photovoltaic properties. Due to these properties, it is
able to generate clean and free energy form the sun, and at the same time, it diffuses light transmission providing privacy and comfort to the users.

Photovoltaic Skylight in Chatelaudren, Brittany (France)

General Contractor: Salfa Corp

Client: Magallanes Health Center

General Contractor: SPIE

Client: Le leff communaut

Onyx Solar has installed an innovative curtain wall of crystalline silicon technology in the biggest rehabilitation center in Patagonia. This technology
allows the generation of electricity and its storage for later use. Thanks to the glass transparency, the homogeneous passage of light inside the building
becomes possible, avoiding the needs for artificial lighting and the energy consumption derived from it.

Onyx Solar has worked together with the French company SPIE in the retrofit of the historical building Le Petit Echo de la Mode, located in Brittany and
considered a National Heritage due to its memory of the evolution of our society over the last century.
The installation of a photovoltaic skylight in the building, comprised of 10% semi-transparent, low-e, photovoltaic glass, allows the building to generate
more than 42 kWh per sqm yearly.

The George Washington University (GWU) recently partnered with Onyx Solar to install the first-ever walkable, solar photovoltaic sidewalk in the world,
located at GW's Virginia Science and Technology Campus in Ashburn, Virginia. The sidewalk includes slip-resistant and semi-translucent glazing that
converts solar radiation into electricity with the use of semiconductors.

This solution, installed in the commons of the University, consists of a combination of two types of semi-transparent photovoltaic glass modules (84 in
total), which were customized to perfectly meet the architectural needs of the project. This BIPV solution generates 4,800 kWh/year.

The total power installed is 42 Wp per sqm and it generates 510 kWh per year, enough electricity to feed the LED lighting system that illuminates the
floor. This is a benchmark project that reflects the mentality of a venerable institution such as the GWU, which is always looking for new technologies
and sustainable practices for a greener future.

Arcadia University is a private university founded in 1853 and located in Glenside, Pennsylvania. The university has a 4,000 co-educational student
