Requirement Analysis
- This new convenience store is in face of the following problems:
1. How to maximize 24hours operation?
2. How to monitor inventory not following the traditional method?
3. How the customer will achieve convenience?
4. How to monitor progress status/report of the store?
Systems Design
A.
The following are software systems to be developed to maximize the
convenience store operation. Each of these softwares is assigned to the specific
personnel according to its use, and these softwares are interlinked to one main
software system for management monitoring.
The desired output of the client for their software, and the following given help us
find the solution which the client provided:

Figure 2: The MetroGrocery Store Table of Organization

1. POS (Point of Sale). Inventory and sales monitoring are in this system. Every
purchase of items are automatically logged like the typical barcode system
or manually typed for any other items. From this actual sales, the system will
analyze then remind if any thing are needed for attention (ex. few stocks
left).

2. Theft detector alarm and cctv.

3. Personnel attendance system.
4. Management software system. This is the mother software of all items from 1
to 3. This will let the management look up to their store whenever and
wherever they are when they are connected to the internet. Functions
included here are:
a. Notifications from the secondary softwares will be received here.
b. Daily/weekly/monthly or real time report of activities in the store.
c. CCTV online access.
d. Personnel attendance monitoring, scheduler and time keeping.
e. Unit cost update, any items in discounted price.
f. Contacts list which include suppliers, and emergency numbers.
g. Back-up of reports.

Application of other technology and software system will also be utilized like:
1. Excel program for payroll.
2. Vendo machines.

Program Implementation
- The solution is constructed by means of the following:
1. Elaborate with the client and consider their suggestions with our professional
advised.
2. Ask for their business procedure/ operational procedure as a basis for the
software system.
3. Present other technology that are already present, in accordance with
customers convenience and will benefit our client.
4. Software system and technology that are included in the feasibility report
from our client will be adopted.

Testing
1. The actual software will be run initially before the store is in operation. For
checking of the software, manual operation is run in parallel with the
designed software.
2. On the first month of the stores operation, a weekly assessment of the
software will be conducted.
3. Technical personnel will be assigned for orientation and during
implementation on first week.
Delivery
1. Interactive softwares are developed. It will use graphical techniques for the
easiness experience on the user with minimized keyboard functions, and will
adopt the touch screen technology.
Maintenance
1. Feedback from the client, and its users will be conducted on monthly basis.
2. We will also conduct personnel evaluation regarding the adaptation of the
software.
3. Including in our maintenance program is to monitor our clients updated
operational procedure, and analyze if it is still in line with our designed
software.
4. Upgrading and adaptation to the current technology present.
5. Software system and its data back-up.
RECOMMENDATION:
A list of recommendations is then formulated for an effective and efficient software
implementation.
1. They can use cloud storage as system back-up of course with privacy settings for
confidentiality purposes.
2. After implementing the system, continuous maintenance is very much needed.
3. Regular manual checking will be implemented to ensure the records.
