Matthew 6:25-26

Therefore I say to you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or what you
will drink; nor about your body, what you will put on. Is not life more than food and
the body more than clothing? 26Look at the birds of the air, for they neither sow nor
reap nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of
more value than they?
Matthew 5:19-20
Whoever therefore breaks one of the least of these commandments, and teaches
men so, shall be called least in the kingdom of heaven; but whoever does and
teaches them, he shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven. 20For I say to you,
that unless your righteousness exceeds the righteousness of the scribes and
Pharisees, you will by no means enter the kingdom of heaven.
Matthew 5:46-48
For if you love those who love you, what reward have you? Do not even the tax
collectors do the same? 47And if you greet your brethren only, what do you do more
than others? Do not even the tax collectors do so? 48Therefore you shall be perfect,
just as your Father in heaven is perfect.
Matthew 6:19-21
Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy and
where thieves break in and steal; 20but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven,
where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves do not break in and steal.
21For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.
Matthew 6:24
No one can serve two masters. Either you will hate the one and love the other, or
you will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God
and money.
1 John 2:15
Do not love the world or anything in the world. If anyone loves the world, love for
the Father is not in them.
1 John 2:4-6
4Whoever says, I know him, but does not do what he commands is a liar, and the
truth is not in that person. 5But if anyone obeys his word, love for God is truly made
complete in them. This is how we know we are in him: 6Whoever claims to live in
him must live as Jesus did.

1 John 2:15-17
15Do not love the world or anything in the world. If anyone loves the world, love for
the Father is not in them. 16For everything in the worldthe lust of the flesh, the
lust of the eyes, and the pride of lifecomes not from the Father but from the world.
17The world and its desires pass away, but whoever does the will of God lives
forever.
1 John 3:4-6
4Everyone who sins breaks the law; in fact, sin is lawlessness. 5But you know that
he appeared so that he might take away our sins. And in him is no sin. 6No one who
lives in him keeps on sinning. No one who continues to sin has either seen him or
known him.
1 John 3:16-18
16This is how we know what love is: Jesus Christ laid down his life for us. And we
ought to lay down our lives for our brothers and sisters. 17If anyone has material
possessions and sees a brother or sister in need but has no pity on them, how can
the love of God be that person? 18Dear children, let us not love with words or
speech but with actions and in truth.
