necessary measures to recovery of people in rehabilitation are concerned
WEIGHT plays an important role. In view of this reason the European
Community already a long time ago decided that in all member countries
only approved scales are applicable in EU countries.The reason is to
make absolutely sure that patients are not running the slightest risk
due to insufficient quality of the equipment used.

Due to legislative restrictions European countries and their associated

partner countries have to use approved scales for weighing patients
before any medical application. The weighing can only be decided by
a doctor and done by himself or a nurse. However, there are many
countries world wide where no such legislation applies and where the
ADE International Range can be used without any problems in the
medical field as long ADE furnishes the necessary documentation
stating that the products selected comply to the international regulations
applicable for the use and safety of medical products. For all countries
having to follow the European legislation unapproved scales can be used
in the paramedical field.
