As per tender Clause 62.1.3 the retention


money is to be deducted from running
bills is 10% which may be reduced to 2.5%
to facilitate sufficient cash flow with the
working contractor. Further as per this
clause non-refundable interest is to be
charged at a rate of two percent more
than the SBIs PLR rate, from the date of
BG towards security deposit becomes due
and shall be chargeable on the reducing
balance left after apportioning the SD
amount accumulated from each running
bill, till complete SD amount is recovered
from the bills.
As per tender clause 62.1.1 the
performance guarantee / security is to be
submitted by the contractor @10%.

Keeping in view the above and upcoming Holy Holidays we request for
extension of last date of submission
upto 20.03.2015.
In this regard we hereby submit that
the owner / employer should not
charge any interest when the
contractor has furnished necessary BG
of the equal amount.

May be reduced to 2.5% to facilitate

All statutory permission & clearance
from any department / agency
required, if any before commencement
of work or after completion of work
thereof, shall be in the scope of owner

Time period of 21 Months stipulated for


completion of the project is very short.
Keeping in the consideration, the
magnitude and type of intricate &
complicated work; it should be increased
to 30 months.

tally with the DSR 2014 and DSR 2013.
So, basis of SOR is not clear. However,
it is worth mentioning that rate of
some of the major items like
Reinforcement Steel, Plain &
Reinforcement Cement Concrete, Brick
Work and other few major items are
very slow. The .
Interest free mobilization advance may
be allowed and bank guarantee of
equal / same amount may be accepted.
