CSA Tennessee Recent Signings

CSA PrepStar Tennessee would like to
welcome our two newest members to the
PrepSar Tennessee family.
Steven Pogue is a junior basketball player at Cookeville
High School. Steven is a 6’5” forward/center for the
Cavaliers and his dream is to play basketball on the
college level. Steven has trained with Antanas
Kavaliauskas formerly of Texas A&M and presently a NBA
Europe player in Italy. Steven had a 53% fgp, 76% fta,
and 4.3 rebounds a game this season. Steven has also
been selected as a delegate for boys state this summer

steals per game while earning All-Region and All-District honors in her junior year. In volleyball Julie
plays outside hitter /power and had 2.9 kpg, 2.1 bpg, 4.3 dpg, 3.83 spg, and 68 aces. Julie will major
in Physical Therapy and is a Tennessee Girls State Delegate this summer.

Both Julie and Steven have only been on the program for a couple of weeks and have
already received several college contacts. Now is the time to get involved with CSA PrepStar

Tennessee
The Tennessee franchise was officially
started in March 08 while the first year
was used to get the general public aware
of what we do and how it can help their
child as they aspire to play at the college
level. CSA-TN had a great year signing
20 athletes with 18 going to play at
the next level. Our goal is to sign only
QUALIFIED STUDENT ATHLETES and that
is what makes CSA-TN so different from
the other recruiting companies. Every
year thousands of athletes go un-
noticed in the recruiting process. With
over 2000 colleges and universities and
30,000 registered coaches using CSA, we
give the athletes the exposure to these
programs that would be impossible for
the student athlete to get without us.

and video that CSA put together for her and promoted to
the type of colleges she was interested in. Without your
involvement, Coach Wager would never have seen her
profile and video, Nicole would not have been invited to
visit the college and Nicole would not be going to NMHU
with a wonderful scholarship. We are very proud of
Nicole and her accomplishments.
Please thank everyone at CSA for the assistance in
creating Nicole’s profile, editing the video I took at games
into something worthwhile and for the advice and follow
up that helped Nicole achieve her dream of going to
college to further her education and to play soccer as
well. I’ll keep you posted on the progress and I hope to
see you in Las Vegas in a few weeks.

CSA story really began in 1981 when I started the nation's first ever
recruiting service designed to help high school athletes receive athletic
scholarships for college. Today, CSA is recognized as the nation's largest
and most respected name in the world of college recruiting, having helped
thousands of student-athletes over the past 25 years fulfill their dreams of
competing in the exciting world of college athletics.

There are few things in life that are more personally rewarding than
following your dreams. Dreams help drive our vision for the future and
breathe purpose into our lives. The pursuit of my dreams as a young man
helped me achieve an athletic scholarship and All-American honors as a
college football player, followed by a coaching career on the collegiate
level.

As a high school athlete my passion was to one day play college football. I
enjoyed a successful career as a high school quarterback, but had the
misfortune of playing for a new high school that wasn't yet on the
recruiting map. My dreams of playing college ball were shattered when I
was overlooked in the recruiting process and passed by on National Letter
of Intent Day.

Not knowing where to go for help, I began contacting schools on my own Check out Prepstar Magazine, one of
behalf and was determined to keep trying until I received a chance to play
college football. I was very fortunate to be offered an athletic scholarship the nations leading football Ranking
to BYU right before I graduated as a high school senior. They had one publications used by all major D1
scholarship to give and I was the lucky guy to receive it. After two years at
BYU and a brief stint as their starting QB, I transferred to San Diego State programs.
where I redshirted for one year. I left SDSU in the spring of 1977 when the
University of Hawaii offered me a chance to be their quarterback for the
1977 season.

I started 22 games for the University of Hawaii and had the good fortune of Contact Information
receiving All-American honors and was selected to participate in the 1979
Hula Bowl All-Star Classic. After my playing days were over I began a
coaching career in college that lasted four years. I was truly blessed to
