Mrs. Knox 6th Grade Class
Greetings parents/guardians! Students that attended Science Camp had a great time and learned a lot of new things. Those
students that stayed behind received an enriching math and reading intervention curriculum. They learned a tremendous amout
of past taught material, which helped them increase their skills to the next level. The end of the trimester is February 26th and
report cards go out in the yellow school folders on March 2nd. Please return the yellow folders the next day. After receiving your
childs’ report card, please encourage them to continue to study the skills they struggle with as an extra assignment.
There has been a change in the class schedule(starting Mon. Feb. 22nd). Math will be taught in the afternoon, beginning at noon,
so please keep this in mind when taking your child out of school early. It is imperative that students are in class during the entire
math block, which ends at 2:30 pm. Also, the next class newsletter will be attached to my web page on the new East Avenue
school website: www.eastaveelementary.com
