Natakhtari Diary visited Nika Arabidze and Koba Barateli, the

Comedy Show actors. It turned out that our attitudes coincided:
Beer is the best and the most pleasant drink at any time!,
which occupies quite a significant place in their everyday
lives.
Despite the frost and cold weather outside, we started the conversation in a festive mood expressing love towards beer:
Nika Arabidze: Whenever I have some free time or place, I sacrifice
it to beer.
Koba Barateli: An organism of an ordinary human being mainly
consists of blood and water, but in my case, beer composition equals
to 80%.
Nika: What can I say? Beer is a very pleasant drink. Over the past
couple of days, the bad weather has withdrown us, its too cold! We simply
cant drink beer and Im very upset about it! However, we are looking
forward to a warm season. Ive even fallen in love with this feeling of
expectation! I admit that beer is one of the best drinks in summer, and
not just for me but for 90% of men as well.
Koba: In the past, beer was obliquely looked at. People used to
propose some strange toasts with this drink. Probably it was not valued
enough.
- What do you mean by strange?
Nika: Ive just remembered how Koba once wrote: Long live the
man who has the highest grade in Geography but thinks that Kharagauli
is the Capital of Georgia. So these types of toasts we used to have in
the past, however... now we propose such serious toasts with beer that
even wine would feel envy!
Koba: Long live the man, who feels hunger instead of crying while
reading A Fawns Tale.
Nika: I know so many toasts of this type that it will be hard to stop
me now! Long live the man who hides under the bed while his wifes
fighting him with a swab shouting to get out but he convincingly declares:
I am the head of this family and I will get out whenever I want to.
- It seems that feast with beer elevates your spirits even
more
Koba: Beer is the drink, which makes me feel good not less than
wine or vodka. On the one hand, because of low alcohol content we
have to drink too much and get less drunk, but on the other hand its
even better.

- Some time ago, as a result of the advertising campaign So what there

summer drink.
Nika: You dont say so! For me that stereotype was broken anyway. I do not
refuse to drink beer even in winter! Though summer is the season when you can
drink beer any time, any place! Even in the yard. So the action area is larger in
summer.
Koba: Beer is a beverage to drink with your friends and loved ones. Enjoying it
in the yard is especially pleasant experience. I love beer, but it has one disadvantage,
it stays in the organism for too long. A cure for my hangover is beer again.
- Have you ever said no to beer?
Nika: I only refuse to drink when I have to drive. I cant remember any other
reason.
- Have you done anything inconvenient while being drunk with beer?
Nika: In my opinion, you should not get drunk with beer. You have to enjoy
it. I drink much, especially when I participate in festivals and contests. However,
I cannot compete with Koba, who has won similar contests many times.
Koba: I drank nine mugs of beer in four minutes. Before that I already had
two mugs. I drank the last mug with a person who took the second place. However,
I remember, I did not do anything bad; I was just striving for taking part in next
contest of sausage eating.
Nika: The prize was attractive - one box of beer, which we already consumed.
- How broad is your beer drinking experience?
Nika: I started drinking beer actively from my studentship, so I dont have
very broad experience. Koba has succeeded better than me.
Koba: Based on my age I have broader experience. I have drunk so much beer
that now I request from beer production companies to award me the pension!
- How do you start thinking of beer and planning a feast?
Nika: Beer is our kind of drink. It does not require some special preparations
to party. You can simply eat a package of salted nuts with beer and have a great
feast. Well, in a nutshell, we work hard and drink beer.
Koba: I will tell you the secret: Nika and I intend to bring a question to vote at
the Parliament. We have a new, interesting draft law. We want beer to run directly
from the tap along with water. However, we promise that its bill will not be linked
with the cleaning bill.

Beer Saves Life of

Man Stuck for Three
Days in a Snowdrift
An Alaskan managed to survive on frozen beer while stuck for three days
in a snowdrift, TimeNewsFeed reported.
Clifton Vial, 52, wound up stuck in a snowdrift off a rural highway in
eastern Alaska, his truck lacking the usual survival necessities. All that lay
in the back was a few cans of beer, solid frozen. And as any college student
knows: beer is food and contains calories to keep a person functioning. Foodless for nearly 60 hours, Vial munched on the frozen beer.
Vial says he ate the beer like beans from a can. I cut the lids off and dug
it out with a knife, he said. The 52-year-old lived off the ration of a couple
of cans for more than three days while rescuers searched for him.
Vial had taken a drive late night on Monday, 5th December, getting
stuck in a snowdrift 40 miles north of Nome. Far out of cell phone range and
ill-dressed for the situation in tennis shoes, jeans and a cheap jacket, Vial
huddled for warmth in a sleeping bag and shrouded his shivering feet in a
towel. He turned on the engine occasionally to listen to the radio and get the
heat flowing, but it was no match for the -17 degree temperatures. And by
the third day, Vials gas gauge was toeing the empty line.
When he failed to show up to work on December, 6 afternoon, the
search was on for the missing man. It wasnt until afternoon, nearly three
days since his truck became lodged in the snowdrift that a Nome rescue crew
happened upon him.

New World Record

A German enthusiast has broken the Guinness World Record for riding
an unicycle along beer bottles in Tel Aviv. Lutz Eichholz managed to ride
along 8.93 meters of beer bottles to beat the previous record of 7.99 meters,
which he set earlier this year. Mr. Eichholz said he was very happy calling it
a perfect day: I feel really good; all the pressure is down, the sun is shining
and everything is perfect.
While no Guinness World Record officials were present, the organization
gave permission for the Israeli cycling association to hold the attempt, which
was confirmed by Guinness at a later date.

Natakhtari has gathered all partners in order to inform them about
rebranded Natakhtari and new brand Mtieli on January 12th and
March 30th.
Introduction of new logo, packaging and bottle to the dealers of
Efes Georgia was held in Holiday Inn Hotel on 12th of January. Mehmet
Koak, General Director of the Company, addressed the partners with
a speech. Tornike Nikolaishvili, Marketing Manager of Efes Georgia
talked about the rebranding issues.
Partners of Efes Georgia were gathered to attend presentation of
concept and communication campaigns of new brand Mtieli in Radisson
Hotel 30th of March. Tornike Nikolaishvili broadly spoke about future
plans of the company as well.
All guests were pleased and satisfied with the event held in a natural
environment.

On March 10th, there was a rugby match between
Romanian and Georgian National teams. During the
match, under the leadership of Natakhtari, there was
an organized watching outlet for fans arranged at bars
Hunger and Scarlet Sails.
Fans watched the match live on the big screen.
After half time, fans had opportunity to participate
in traditional competition of fast beer drinking. The

Team Building
Activities
Every year HR Department organizes different Team Building activities. Of course, this year was not an exception and in March Bowling
Championship was held for the Efes Georgia employees.
Teams were formed from different departments employees. At the
end of the day the winner team was awarded with the Efes Georgia cup,
medals and certificates in celebrating environment. Also the best male
and female players were revealed, Tamar Nebieridze and Badri Shakulashvili. They gained the highest scores during the tournament and were
rewarded with vimpels and certificates. At the same time employees also
had the opportunity to have fun through other entertaining programs such
as Pool, Russian Billiard and Kinect dance competition.
At the end of November Astra Park hosted our company. Carting
Championship was the main event at this entertaining evening. But,
participants could also enjoy other games. At the end of the competition
the winners were named. The places as follows: 1st place: Durmishkhan
Mamuchashvili, 2nd place: Nikoloz Korkotadze and 3rd place: Akaki
Tevdoradze. The buffets continued the evening and ended cheerfully.
Previous years experience showed that such events help our employees to form good and friendly relations with their colleagues. Also this
positive spirit, energy and mood lasts for a long time. Of course all this
has a positive impact on their work efficiency and effectiveness.

Rebranded Natakhtari
the Grand Presentation
Tbilisi Event Hall hosted a grand presentation reception related to
Natakhtari rebranding, during which the rebranded product was displayed
for the guests: a new logo, bottle and label design. Tornike Nikolaishvili,
the Marketing Manager of Natakhtari, spoke about important innovations
and future plans of the Company and answered journalists questions.

Report on the First Part of Natakhtari

Fund Project

The first stage of Natakhtari Fund Project, referring to the accumulation of money, came to its end. The proceeds from three-month sales
amounted to GEL 142,802, which exceeded the forecasts by 40%. The
accumulated funds within the framework of the large scale charity campaign, Take Care of Future, will be allocated according to the different
respective projects and spent throughout the year. In order to provide
this information to the media representatives and public, a special press
conference was held at Courtyard Marriott Hotel, in which together with
Natakhtari representatives, the Program Coordinator of the Our House
Georgia Association took part as well.
At the Press Conference it was also mentioned that the creation of database of homless children 16-18 age range, representing the main target
audience of the project, had been completed. Journalists were informed
that, on the first stage, the psychologists would start working with these
children next week. Based on their findings and conclusions, interesting
and effective special and individual programs tailored to specific needs
of each and every child would be designed and implemented.
The Project is being implemented by the Our House Georgia
Association and with the countenance and blessings of the Patriarch
of Georgia.

CERTIFIED BREWMASTER COURSE

The Certified Brewmaster Course of Scientific Research Institute

of Berlin included instructions for making physic-chemical and microbiological analysis of the raw materials, brewing and technical
devices, filtration-stabilization, as well as bottling, packaging and
degustation processes.
The duration of the Certified Brewmaster course was two months
and integrated theoretical and practical lectures, led by highly qualified professors and teachers, conducted at the mini factories and laboratories within the framework of the Institute. The aim of the course
was to obtain and deepen the knowledge of the employees working
in beer production, as well as to gain the practical experience in all
of the above-mentioned fields for further implementation.
LABELING STANDARDS

During the Labeling Standards training conducted by the International Finance Corporation (IFC), the company lawyer presented
to the attendees and discussed all the paragraphs of the #2-231 Order
regarding The Approval of Additional Requirements for Food and
Beverage Labeling, issued on December 11, 2009, by the Minister
of Agricultural and Natural Resources of Georgia.
FLAVOR TESTING

During the period of February-March, 2011, within the framework of the Tasting Project, the training was conducted at our
company. The aim of the training was preparing the panel of tasters.
The training was attended by 11 candidates, who had gone through
two stages of selection beforehand. As a result of training, they
learned 31 beer flavor standards and relevant beer assessment technique. The training included 25 sessions, after which all tasters were
given certificates. The relevant training materials were prepared and
provided by FlavorActiv, which is the leading British company in
this field. FlavorActiv is training and monitoring tasters at about
1200 beer producing companies in more than 170 countries.

Ivane Khachirashvili, self-taught musician and Master of Sports has

been working in Natakhtari since its establishing.
About the Company
Ive been working at the Company since the day of its establishment;
Ive learned the job from the producer itself. In the beginning, I had to
work with Czechs and afterwards with Germans. It was a great experience. I found my place here; I like mechanization, especially because it
is also my profession.
Teamwork, working conditions and remuneration are the major
reasons and significant factors of working at this company.
About music
As for the music it used to be like a tradition in our country:
whether you wished or not it was necessary to graduate at least from
the seven-year music school. Parents were forcing their children to
learn music.This was the case of majority but Ivane was an exception,
he learned music out of his own desire. Though he did not receive a
musical education, it did not prevent him from playing various instruments equally well.
Music is not his only passion. You might wonder what the music
and Lelo (Georgian kind of sport) judo and sambo have in common
probably this is a real talent of the person who is the Master of Sports
of Georgia in Lelo Ball, the Master of Sports of Georgia in Sambo and
the Candidate Master of Sports in Judo.
Age, family, work and passions of his youth
Nowadays I cannot pursue sports as actively as I used to, neither
can I allocate some quality time for music. These things were left in
my past and now theyve turned into hobbies for me. However, I try to
exercise frequently.
How he sees himself in the Company
I clearly see myself in the future of this company, as Im well aware
of how the experienced personnel are always valued by the management and colleagues. Respect and teamwork are sufficient reasons for

events. Therefore, many fiction books
are being written and new trends developed. The higher the number of fiction
books or writers, the lower the chance
to notice, discovers and distinguishes
the best out of them The chosen literature may not be the best, but it should
be at least that kind of book, which, as
Dochanashvili says, - makes u a little
bit better than you already are.
In the first place, the national product
is the most interesting for me. I think
we should get more acquainted with

entire lost generation. You may think that too much
is written about these topics, but the literature always
echoes the contemporary events and a human being
is a constant object of interest for a writer.
There was evening and there was morning a
novel about me, you, about Tazos and Natias. David
Kartvelishvili writes exactly about this generation,
lightly, without any coquetry and mannerism. And
what type of coquetry can be appropriate for people,
who have gone through the war and depression?!

Drinking two pints of beer or two medium glasses of wine alcohol
can sharpen the mind, The Times of India reported.
A study by University of Illinois psychologists has found that men
who enjoy a relaxing drink are actually better at solving brain teasers
than those who are stone cold sober. Not only did the thirstier chaps get
more questions right, they were also quicker in delivering the correct
responses. It is thought that alcohol hinders analytical thinking, allowing
creative thoughts that otherwise might be stifled to take root. This makes
it easier to find imaginative solutions to problems.
In the study, the psychologists set 40 healthy young men in a series
of brain teasers. These involved being given three words, such as coin,
quick and spoon, and coming up with a fourth word that links all three
(in this case the word being silver).
Half drank the equivalent of two pints of beer before doing the tests,
the rest carried them out sober. The drinking group solved nearly 40 per
cent more problems than the others and took an average of 12 seconds per
question, compared to the 15.5 seconds needed by the sober subjects.
The current research represents the first demonstration of alcohols
effect on creative problem solving, researchers said. Co-author Jennifer Wiley added: We tested what happens when people are slightly
merry - not when people drink to extremes. The bottom line is that
we think being too focused can blind you to novel possibilities, and a
broader, more flexible state of attention is needed for creative solutions
to emerge, she stated.
The researchers described their findings in the journal Consciousness and Cognition.
