Description of Proposed Changes
Please find attached RFI 33, which reduces the scope of work identified within
the original bid documents. Provide cost credit for PCCO.
This request for proposal is neither a change in the subject Contract, nor an order to the Contractor to
perform any work. However, it pertains to certain proposed modifications to the wo rk covered by said
contract. The provisions, drawings and specifications of said Contract and previous modifications thereto
will apply, as applicable, unless specifically indicated otherwise herein.
The City of Carmel-by-the-Sea hereby requests that the Contractor submit within ten (10) working days
after receipt of this request a proposal to make the changes described herein. All changes to the Contract
Price and Contract Time should be detailed for each separate item listed. Detailed breakdown must include
deductive or added cost for all labor, equipment, materials and all applicable mark-ups.
Nothing written in this Request for Proposal will obligate the City of Carmel-by-the-Sea to incur any costs nor
change the Contract Time unless such changes are included in an approved Contract Change Order.

Request:
There are two 2" and one 6" lines that will penetrate footing for the masonry wall. These are the feeder lines as indicated per note 3
and 10 sheet E1 .1. From top of conduit to top of masonry walls+/- 24". Contractor proposes to leave conduits as is and wrap the
conduits with foam.
Please advise if it is acceptable . Please see attached picture and sheet for location.

Per keynote 3 and 10 on sheet E1 .1 the existing feeder line is to be re-routed where crossing the new ADA path and new 2'x4'x4'
concrete electrical handholes are to be installed for the interception/re-routing of the existing underground feeder line.
The existing feeder line is located below subgrade at the bottom of the footing excavation. There is no conflict with the existing feeder
line location and the new ADA pathway. In relation to RFI #33, we recommend leaving the existing feeder line in place and not
re-routing the line. This will eliminate the need to install new handholes.
Please confirm, new handholes do not need to be installed.
