THE RUSSELL REPORT

February 29, 2016

Dear Prayer Partners:

Recently I was reminded from John 9:1-12 of Jesus
healing of the blind man, that He does the impossible.
Jesus took what seemed like a very difficult situation in
a mans life an area that hampered the mans life
significantly, and He made something beautiful out of it.
Do you have a difficult situation in your life right now
something that is hampering your life in a significant
way? He can change it! He still does the impossible
everyday! Pray for the impossible. And He can do it
because He is God.

serve throughout Spanish-Speaking South America.
While God has been very good to us allowing us to serve
Him on the mission field and have a part in the lives of
other missionaries and nationals and have a part impacting church planting movements and mission movements, we
too have faced a difficult area. We believe God can change it. And while we pray about this matter, we ask you to
join us in prayer about this same matter. Our support
level was improving little by little ever so slowly and then
we just found out recently that a donor that had supported
us for $500/month has hit hard financial times and no
longer is able to continue. So now we find ourselves not
knowing exactly how to handle this other than to pray
about it and share this need with others who will pray for
us. We are hoping perhaps some of our supporting
churches might increase their monthly support amounts
for us. We are also praying that God might lay it on the
hearts of other churches that are considering taking us on
for support, will do so. Please pray for the families that
currently support us, that no more will drop us due to
tough financial times. And maybe some of them might
even be able to increase our support. And we pray God
Preaching in a Peruvian church
will bring to us new ministry partners whether on a
monthly basis or annual basis. We have a monthly deficit of
about $1100/month. Please pray that God would supply for this
need. God does the impossible everyday! We believe it! If
you would like to support us on a monthly basis (all gifts are
tax deductible), one easy way to get started is to go to this link

Recently we traveled to Lima, Peru where God gave us the

great opportunity to serve some 85 to 90 missionaries that serve Nikki participating in one of the training workshops in Peru.
throughout Spanish speaking South America that had all
converged on Lima for a special conference of training, preaching, worship, strategic planning, ministry reports, and

much more. God met with us in a very unique way. God greatly used Nikki
to reach out to missionary wives. Her zeal and enthusiasm for God refreshes
my soul! I wish I were more like her! It is a joy to serve our great God in
Latin America with her. I was touched by one missionary that told me how
much it meant to them that we were there ministering to them. It was also
a great joy to preach in one of our Peruvian churches while we were there.
We were wonderfully surprised to see an 11 year old girl come up to us after
the service. Nikki recognized her immediately. She was Nikkis student
when she lived in Chile seven years ago. Her family moved to Peru and
they had joined the very church where I preached that morning. It was a
great reunion.
In January we traveled to
Orlando, Florida where we met
with our South America and

of missionaries we serve with.
Apart from our trip to Peru, we also had the joy of becoming grandparents
for the 8th time. Our grandson, Daniel James Russell was born Feb. 19
Nikki is very good at this grandparent thing! weighing in at 9 pounds 4 ounces! His parents are Eric and Amber Russell.
Daniel is the 5th generation to have James as part of his name. To make it
more special, Daniel was born on his great-great-grandfather Russells birthday, who was the first generation to have
James in his name.
Please pray for our upcoming trips. We will be traveling to Cuba for the purpose of making a survey trip but also
visiting Cuban pastors that partner with our Chilean mission agency. I will be preaching in house churches and seeking
to encourage our Cuban pastors that serve there.
We also have a trip scheduled for
Paraguay where we will be
meeting with our team of
missionaries to determine the
future of our camp ministry there
and other strategic planning. We
greatly need more people to go
