Mongolia Taps Marubeni as Preferred Bidder for 450MW Power Plant
Marubeni Corp. has been selected as the preferred bidder to build a $1 billion
coal-fired power plant in Mongolias Gobi Desert to supply electricity to Rio Tinto
Groups Oyu Tolgoi copper mine. Marubeni beat Kansai Electric Power Co. and
Daewoo Engineering & Construction Co., to win the tender for the 450-megawatt
power plant planned for the coal-rich Tavan Tolgoi basin. The decision was
announced Monday on the Tavantolgoi Power Plant (TTPP) project unit website.

Modis $ 1-billion credit line to Mongolia to start rolling soon
India and Mongolia are likely to kick off talks in March on the $ 1 billion credit line,
which Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced during his visit to the country in
May 2015.

Freegood: 12.4 tons of gold reserve discovered in Dornogovi province
Freegood Inc, company domiciled in South Korea, has been conducting
exploration project in the Undurnaran copper and gold mine in Dornogovi
province. The project is said to have reserve of 12.4t gold.

Russian GDP Drop Eases as Nabiullina Says Inflation Risks `High'
Gross domestic product shrank 2.5 percent from a year earlier after a 3.5 percent
plunge in December, the Economy Ministry said in a report on its website on
Monday. Inflation expectations, a key gauge of future price growth, fell in
February even as the ruble weakened, giving grounds for cautious optimism,
Nabiullina was quoted as saying by Interfax in Shanghai.
