Aregisteredauditorisabletoperformstatutoryfinancialauditsinaccordance
withtheCompaniesAct2006.
The CICA is one of the accounting bodies whose members qualify to become
USCPAsthroughwritingtheInternationalQualificationExamination.InIndia,
the profession of Chartered Accountancy is regulated by the Institute of
CharteredAccountantsofIndiaundertheCharteredAccountantsActof1949.
