MADAM:
Greetings!
Manuel L. Quezon Elementary School will be holding a 3-day School-Based
Training on Seminar Workshop on K to 12 Teaching and Learning on June 6, 13, and 20,
2014 at Manuel L. Quezon Elementary School Social Hall with the following reasons:
1. As the country implements the K to 12 BEC under RA 10533
envisioning to produce 21st Century Learners, it is but important to
suffice the institution with 21st Century Teachers as well..
2. To attain this, teachers must equip themselves with the necessary
skills, attitude and perception on the K to 12 Program especially that
the DepEd Order 8, s. 2015 has been released last April 1, 2015..
Hence, we would like to ask permission for the approval of this
activity and three (3) day service credit to those who will attend.
Enclosed is the training design and matrix of activities for your
references.

Respectfully yours,

SEMINAR WORKSHOP ON K TO 12 TEACHING AND LEARNING
I.

Rationale
With the current innovation on our Basic Education
Curriculum, as mandated by our Department, we have started
offering the K-12 Curriculum starting SY 2011-2012. We had the
mandatory kindergarten and currently is offering of Grade 4
integration of the said curriculum.
With this the Manuel L. Quezon Elementary School being an
urbanized school under the Davao City Division needs 21 st
Century Teachers skilled with the skills, attitude and perception in
order to produce 21st century learners..
Thus, being one of the regional representatives who attended
the National Training of Trainers on Grade 4 Science and
Mathematics Teaching on the K to 12 Basic Education Curriculum
last April 19 25, 2015, we would like to extend the necessary
competencies on that training to our school on all levels. These
skills are necessary to make their teaching more effective
especially after the release of DepEd Order #8, s. 2015. These
teachers need to be well-informed with all these updates and I
would also like to extend my assistance to our institution being
the Davao City Division Representative on the Consultative
Meeting on the Creation of the E-Class Record that will be
adopted nationwide.

II.

Acquire and enhance teaching skills, attitude and perception
on K to 12 Teaching and Learning and update teachers on the DO
