Career History and Selected Accomplishments

Field Engineer / Trainer, Saint Jude Medical, a $3.8B healthcare company, 2007 t
o present. Installed and repaired heart mapping medical systems at customer loca
tions around US and Canada. Trained field engineers in Japan on installation of
equipment. Reported details for FDA audits and site improvements. Recommended te
chnical strategies to optimize system performance.
Training engineers on system installation and troubleshooting techniques. Compan
y attempted to train Japanese engineers on procedures in US in English. Recruite
d to go to Japan to resolve issues. Spoke Japanese, trained engineers and achiev
ed FDA approval on project.
Project Engineer / Manager, Perretta Graphics Corp., a $50M publishing company,
2005 to 2006. Set up, tested and trained personnel on computer equipment develop
ed for printing presses. Directed troubleshooting and equipment startup to meet
press deadlines. Designed mechanical or electrical modifications, fitting specif
ic equipment needs. Trained customers in Japan, speaking in Japanese.
Designing systems on site. Equipment did not operate correctly after installatio
n and customer threatened to cancel agreement. Evaluated problem and engineered
equipment component, resolving problem. Attained customer satisfaction, securing
additional system sale.
Reengineering systems. Discovered wrong gauge wires were used during complex cab
le system install in Japan. Developed strategy, remapping entire system Redistri
buted proper gauge wires, rewrote technical documents and ensured proper power d
istribution for on time completion

t print show in Germany. Designated lead project engineer over six team. Resolve

Customer Service Engineer II, Siemens Medical Solutions, a $650M medical equipme
nt company, 2004 to 2005. Recruited to service variety of medical imaging equipm
ent at University of Utah Hospital and clinics, including x-ray and nuclear medi
cine equipment. Worked with PACS engineers establishing communication links and
VPN (tunnels) to route systems through encrypted hospital networks.

ld Award. I am a triathlon competitor. Fluent in Japanese, I fulfilled a two yea
