involved in production of Industrial gases (Medical O 2, N2, Ar, and CO2). With 4 manufacturing divisions at Kashipur,
Gorakhpur, Saharanpur & Dehradun, IGL has an annual turnover of more than Rs.2000 Cr. India glycols Limited,
Kashipur plant is the parent unit and its project team is looking after all the new projects and plant expansions at all the
above units, areas and other proposed new Places. Projects division of Kashipur Plant is responsible for New

MAINTENANCE
FIELD INSTRUMENTS

To prepare the schedule for maintenance and calibration of all type of field and control instruments. Responsible for
planning and execution of preventive, breakdown and shutdown maintenance.
Calibration of field instruments
Quick Fault finding by analyzing the Instruments related problems during running plant or breakdown to reduce
breakdown time
To review the spare requirement in plant and to initiate procurement
Manpower co-ordination and controlling for smooth functioning of activities
SAP Notification, PM order and Service Entry Creation

CONTROL SYSTEM

On line modification of logics and graphics

To identify the obsolete Control Systems which require technology upgrades and implement upgrades.
Installation of control system software like Yokogawa CS3000/RSLogix/Rockwell SCADA/ Emerson DeltaV
softwares and Operating System in case existing human interface system does not work.
To train Engineers for maintenance and troubleshooting in Yokogawa DCS, RS Logix and Emerson DeltaV.
Quick Fault finding by studying logic and resolve Instruments related problems to minimize downtime.
To review spares requirement in control systems and to initiate procurement.
Inspection of incoming instruments and spares in store.
To initiate and coordinate with system vendors visiting for AMC of the critical systems.

PROJECTS
BASIC ENGINEERING

Checking and finalizing the instrument aspects of P&IDs

Selection and Sizing of Control Valves, Orifice Plates etc. using Instrucalc or other vendor software like Valspeq.
Preparation of Instruments Datasheets and floating enquiry to vendors
Reviewing, comparing and approving the instrument offers from various vendors
Preparation of philosophy for Control system to Electrical interfacing for motors control
Preparation of Input/output details for DCS/PLC system, to estimate the size and type of system to be procured.
Preparation of instrument budgetary estimates for new projects
Addition of instruments to be procured on SAP
Preparation of Purchase Requisition of various instruments on SAP.
Preparation of instrument contractor work orders on SAP
DETAILED ENGINEERING

Fixing of JB locations and preparation of cable tray layouts on AUTOCAD drawings

Preparation of JB schedules
Preparation of cable schedule for JBs and Electrical interfacing
Preparation of Instrument Point Database
Preparation of instrument hook-up drawings
Reviewing and approving the wiring diagrams and I/O distribution of DCS/PLC
PROJECT EXECUTION

FAT (Factory Acceptance Test) of DCS/PLC

Preparation of project schedule and meeting deadlines of mile stones
