In a world where Healthcare systems are rapidly redesigning the business of patient
care to better position themselves they look to hire collaborative, compassionate
and innovative project teams. This interactive workshop provides a simple process
to help healthcare interior designers, project managers and construction managers
gain the healthcare specific soft-skills and tools needed to improve patient safety
and outcomes. Learn to use the HWD 3-step simple process Healthy Patient,
Healthy Team and Healthy Project which enables effective communication and
collaboration across departments and leads to improved project performance
outcomes. This process ensures that the medical professional and the patient
are benefiting and the team, the project and the healthcare system are profitable
and the patient feels as if they have been looked after in the best possible way.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES:
1. Consider and account for the needs of the patient and various project
stakeholders.
2. Learn all three components of the HWD model and the connection to patient
safety and better outcomes.
3. Understand the importance a patients story has in reference to designing,
infection prevention and building a patient centered environment.
4. Learn to create equitable, respectful, fulfilling project environments.
5. Discuss the benefits of understanding roles that other team members play.
6. Dive into the Healthy Project- learning the 5 steps of the Project management
process specific to Healthcare.
7. Learn the line items and importance of Healthcare budget development.
8. Learn the 3 steps to healthcare logistics to servicing the patient and staff while
construction is on-going.

a Health Care Senior Project Manager,
she fused her professional experience
with her transformative ordeal as a
cancer patient to develop the proven
patient-centered Health Well Done
methodology.
With her unique ability to blend theory
and reality, Cathy is able to deliver
presentations that are powerful and
engaging. Her other gift of storytelling
captivates her audience to both
the drama and humor found in
professional practice.
Cathy holds a Masters Degree in
Integrated medicine, IIDA credentials
as an instructor, and the NYC Speaker
Academy Certificate awarded by NSA.
