Equipment oriented system

a. Convey or system- to take or carry from one place to another.

b.
ractor transfer system- A tractor is an engineering vehicle specifically
designed to deliver a high tractive effort (or torque) at slow speeds, for the
purposes of hauling a trailer or machinery used
in agriculture or construction.

c. Fork lift truck- A forklift (also called a lift truck, a fork truck, or a forklift
truck) is a powered industrial truck used to lift and move materials short
distances.

d.

Industrial truck
systemis used to move
materials over variable
parts, with no restrictions on the area covered by the movement.
Carrier designed to transport materials within a factory area with maximum
flexibility in making moves.

e. Underground System- (public transportation or mass transit) is a

shared passenger transport service which is available for use by the general
public, as distinct from modes such as taxicab, carpooling or hired buses
which are not shared by strangers without private arrangement.

2. Material oriented systems

a. Unit Handling System- Many common operations are well suited for
traditional roller and belt conveying equipment. ICC can configure a unit
handling system for your shipping department, work in process areas, pallet
handling function or floor to floor applications. We offer a complete line of zero
pressure live roller conveyors, belt conveyors, gravity roller, scrap handling,
sortation and chain driven roller conveyors.

b.

Bulk
handling
system- is
an engineerin
g field that is centered on the design of equipment used for the handling of
dry materials such as ores, coal, cereals, wood chips, sand, gravel and stone
in loose bulk form. It can also relate to the handling of mixed wastes.

c. Liquid handling system- A leader in liquid handling equipment and

laboratory automation technology, Hamilton Robotics is known for advancing
life science and biotechnology industries through reliability, performance and
flexibility.

3. Method oriented system

a. Manual systemsA system involving data processing which does not make use of storedprogram computing equipment; by thissomewhat arbitrary definition, systems
using other types of tabulating equipment, such as the cardprogrammedcalculator, are considered to be manual.

b. Automated systems- eliminate the need for human interference in order

to complete a task. Several industries use automated systems to increase
production and reduce costs.
- Automated systems can be used to handle a wide range of tasks. Systems
have key components that allow them to function properly including a control
system, a way to interpret and distribute data and a human interface.
Programmable logic allows the system to process data and controls it.

c. Job shop handling system- are typically small manufacturing systems that
handle job production, that is, custom/bespoke or semi-custom/bespoke
manufacturing processes such as small to medium-size customer orders or
batch jobs. Job shops typically move on to different jobs (possibly with
different customers) when each job is completed. In job shops machines are
aggregated in shops by the nature of skills and
technological processes involved, each shop therefore may contain different
machines.

D. Mass production system- given to the method of producing goods in

large quantities at low cost per unit. Although allowing lower prices, does not have
to mean low-quality production. Instead, mass-produced goods are standardized by
means of precision-manufactured, interchangeable parts.

4. Function oriented system

a. Transportation systema facility consisting of the means and equipment necessaryfor the movement of p
assengers or goods
Transportation, transit airfield, flying field, landing
field, field - a place where planes take off and land
Air transportation
system - a transportation system for moving passengers orgoods by air
Bridge, span - a structure that allows people or vehicles to cross an obstacle such as a
river or canal orrailway etc.
Facility, installation - a building or place that provides a particular service or is used fo
r a particularindustry; "the assembly plant is an enormous facility".
Highway system - a transportation system consisting of roads for motor transport.
Infrastructure, base - the stock of basic facilities and capital equipment needed for the
functioning of acountry or area; "the industrial base of Japan".
Line - a commercial organization serving as a common carrier.
Public transit - a public transportation system for moving passengers.
Public transport - conveyance for passengers or mail or freight.
Short line - a transportation system that operates over relatively short distances.
Telferage, telpherage - a transportation system in which cars (telphers) are suspended
from cablesand operated on electricity.
Depot, terminal, terminus - station where transport vehicles load or unload passenger
s or goods.
Way - any artifact consisting of a road or path affording passage from one place to anot
her; "he said hewas looking for the way out".

b. Conveying system- When material is to be moved frequently between specific

points.
- To move material over a fixed math.

c. Transferring system- to convey from one person, place, or situation to another.

- to cause to pass from one to another.

d. Elevating systems- Charges assessed for the handling of grain through grain
elevator.
