relationship between the social media, gender and social life. The Independent variable is
about the social media and gender and in the other side the social life is the dependent
variable.

Chapter 3

Research Design and Methodology

Methods of the Research

In this particular study the descriptive method will be used. It is the most
appropriate method that we will fit the research topic. The study focuses on the
relationship between social media and the social life of the Grade 8 students of
Roosevelt College Marikina.

Respondents of the study

In this study to Grade 8 students will be used as the respondents of the study.
The respective member male and female students per section will determine by using
stratified sampling.

Locale of the study

This study will be conducted in the high school department of Roosevelt
College Marikina located along J.P. Rizal Lamuan, Marikina City. It was built in 1933
and it is a private non sectarian co - educational school and is one branches of the
Roosevelt College.

Research Instruments
The survey questionnaire will be used as the Research Instruments. It is
believed to be the appropriate instrument in data gathering in descriptive survey status.
The result of the questionnaire will be tallied and make an appropriate table in all or
once to the respondents gender and the relationship between social media to the social
life of the Grade 8 students of Roosevelt College Marikina.

Data Gathering Procedure

In order to conduct a survey, a permit should be sign by the directress.
This survey will be done in classroom after that we will explain it to the students on
how and what is this all about then the questionnaire will give to the students after it
explained it correctly and understandable.
