somewhatlargerandhotterthantheSun.Itisafairly
wellstudiedstar,allowingrelativelyaccurate
measurementsofitsageandsize.Theradiusofthe
star,asmeasureddirectlyusinganinterferometer,is
about214%oftheSun'sradiusanditisemittingmore
than15timesasmuchluminosityastheSun.The
energyisbeingemittedfromtheouterenvelopewith
aneffectivetemperature8,296K,[6]givingitthewhite
huecharacteristicofanAtypestar.Havingalarger
massthantheSunitwillhaveashorterlifespan,and
inanother600millionyearsorsowillswellintoan
orangeorredgiantstarbeforedecayingquietlyintoa
whitedwarf.[5]
