Set Induction
1. The pupils are asked to guess the animal sound played on the
computer.(Elephant)
2. The pupils guess the animals and teacher asks further questions
based on the animal.
Pre Writing
1. Teacher shows a picture of the elephant.
2. Teacher reads some difficult words and explains to them using the
picture of the elephant.
e.g: tusks, flap, paws etc.
3. The pupils reads the words with the teachers guidance.
4. Teacher puts up text on the board.
5. Teacher reads the text together with the students.
While Writing
1. The pupils are given worksheet (appendix 1) containing five
sentences with similar patterns but with some missing words.
2. The pupils read the substitution given together in the
worksheet(appendix 2.)
3. Teacher guides the pupils by giving an example for the first
missing word.
4. Teacher divides the students into groups of mixed abilities.
5. In groups, pupils write their own sentences.
6. Teacher guides the pupils with their sentence construction.
Post Writing
1. Teacher asks pupils to write 3 sentences with the similar sentence
pattern about their favourite animal.
2. Teacher guides the pupils with the sentence construction.
3. The pupils are asked to complete a double bubble map given
