Leighton India Contractors Pvt. Ltd. Partners with OGM

OGM Technical Institute Pty Ltd have entered into an exclusive agreement with Leighton
India Contractors Pvt. Ltd. (LI) to deliver and quality manage trade skill training courses for
their workforce in India. OGM will exclusively manage LIs Skills Training, delivering three
levels of training including specific courses and trade craft skills. OGM will manage audit of
training facilities and training systems through to assessment and awarding of qualifications.
OGM will be delivering the courses, initially covering comprehensive OH&ES induction, as
well as training to specific project requirements in India, and with advanced training
certifying
workers
for
future
international
placements.
This partnership will provide LI, with a continuous flow of "work ready skilled workers
increasing safety standards with productivity. OGM courses provide LI workers with Skills
benchmarked to the Australian and Indian standards meeting the Indian Construction Skill
Development Council of India requirements.

Certificate IV TAE40110 course and after only six weeks in to our partnership, we are already seeing a

Training Program
In August OGM delivered a
comprehensive Certificate IV TAE
program over a period of 5 weeks for
Leighton
in
India,
with KanganInstitute.
This
has certified 40 trainers to design,
develop, deliver and assess OGM
courses
to
LI
requirements
and matched to Indian Australian NSDCs Skill Councils framework
and quality standards.

OGM Team visit to IL&FS Ropar

Following the launch of the first
IL&FS Welding course, the OGM
team visited the IL&FS Ropar Centre
interacting
with
trainees
and
counselling them on career pathways
in international markets. Aminur
Rahman, GM OGM outlined the
philosophy and strategy of OGM

Expands
OGM Technical Institute is pleased
to introduce our new team members
for India operations. Ms Supreet
Khosla joined as the Country
Manager for India and Mr
Amandeep Singh Bhandari as the
Technical
Quality
Manager.
Supreet is a Certificate IV TAFE
qualified trainer and has over 9 years
work experience with the MNCs in
India. Her last assignment was with
the Australian Trade Commission in
New Delhi. Supreet brings strong
database management and business
development skills to the team.
Amandeep is a Certificate IV TAFE
qualified trainer and is pursuing a
PhD in Electronics in India with a
total of 8 years work experience. He
is a quality expert with a strong
technical and teaching background.
Amandeeps last assignment was
with the Chandigarh University as
Head of Department (Electronics).

Technical Institute which is first and

foremost to produce high quality
skilled workers, who are work ready,
and to then support their placement
offering best career opportunities.
The OGM team also visited the
IL&FS industry partner, Cheema
Boilers. The day long session was
well received by all.

As a young and dynamic team they

are both ready to provide support
and assistance to our partners and to
make a difference.
