First melt the butter in microwave or on stove top. And let it cool while yo
u prepare baking pan and other ingredients. I recommend using unsalted butter, i
f using salted butter then skip the salt in the recipe.
Lightly butter or spray with non-stick cooking spray 8x8 inch baking pan. Li
ne it with parchment paper with sides up. So it will be easy to lift up after it
bakes. Again butter or spray the parchment paper.
Take all purpose flour, sugar, salt and baking powder in a bowl.
Now sift the cocoa powder. And because of that there will be no lumps of coc
oa powder.
Mix well till incorporated well.
Now take melted and cooled butter in another bowl. Add yogurt and vanilla ex
tract.
Whisk well till everything gets mixed.
Add dry flour mixture. Mix well. Do not over mix.
Add chocolate chips or walnuts if using. And mix well.
Now pour the batter into prepared pan.
And bake it into pre-heated oven for 35-40 minutes. Check by inserting a too
thpick in the center, if it comes out clean then it is ready. Let brownie cools
completely in the pan on cooling rack before cutting. It takes at least 30 minut
es.
After it cools completely, remove it to the cooling rack with the help of th
e parchment paper.
And using a sharp knife cut into 16 pieces or as per your desire.
Dust them with powdered sugar (optional) and serve.

Ingredients
100 gms softened butter
170 gms (3/4th cup) castor sugar
1/2 cup curds (dahi)
3 tsp coffee mixed properly in a few drops of
handful of chopped walnuts (akhrot)
50 gms roughly chopped dark chocolate
1/2 cup cocoa powder
1/2 cup plain flour (maida)
1 tsp baking powder
1 tsp vanilla essence
butter for greasing
Method
Preheat the oven to 180 degrees celsius.
Mix butter and sugar really well.
Add curd and mix slowly.
Add walnuts, dark chocolate and coffee.
Then add plain flour, baking powder and cocoa powder. Mix well slowly.
The mixture will be of quite a thick consistency.
Grease a square 6"x6" brownie mould with some butter and spread the mixture
in it.
Bake it in the oven for about 40minutes. You can check if it is baked proper
