Students in Global Studies select their programs (PIC or


ITFM) and one field of concentration under the program at
the end of their second semester. Until then, they will be
considered as a Global Studies (unless you are KSP).

International Relations OR International Economics (choose ONE)
Additional Required Courses can be taken after the 1st semester.
All students are required to complete all core courses in their first
semester (e.g. if not, you are not eligible for Financial Aid or Deans
Scholarship).

Choose a program.
Choose a field of concentration from the program and complete four courses
from that field.
You may also select a second field of concentration from the program.
You may also select a second field of concentration from another program.
Your Official Degree and field of Concentration(s) will be listed on your
diploma.

Degree Requirements
48 credits in total (each course is worth 3 credits)
OR 42 credits if you choose to write a thesis (6 credits)
Minimum of 3.0/4.3 GPA or above
Completion of GSIS Core Courses
Completion of Field of Concentration
At least 2 years (e.g. four semesters) of full-time
enrollment
Completion of all requirements within 8 semesters

*Korean Studies Majors: Completion of Course/Language

Student Exchange Programs


Students can only go on exchange programs
during their third semester.
The application period is only open during the
first semester.

A maximum of 15 credits can be transferred from


an exchange program.
