PROFESSIONAL AFFILIATIONS
TEACHING EXPERIENCE
Teaching topics and skills primarily in costume design, general theatre design, and
general theatre technology including: hair makeup design, rendering methods and
techniques, design composition, design communication, text analysis, and portfolio
development. Additionally, responsible for designing and implementing costume and
hair and makeup for all four Department of Theatre productions each year. Design
responsibilities include managing a part time costume shop manager, seven student
employees, budgets, and costume shop facility and equipment maintenance. Additional
departmental duties include: recruiting, season selection, student advising and
mentoring, and curriculum development.

Yearlong appointment responsible for teaching curriculum related to scenic design and
technology. Topics and skills included: computer aided drafting and rending, model
building, rendering methods and techniques, design composition, visual communication,
text analysis, portfolio development. Other departmental responsibilities included
advising and mentoring design students, supervising design assignments, and designing
scenery for two of six productions for the Department of Theatre and Dance.
Taught courses in costume design for the spring 2015 semester. Also responsible for
designing costumes for two productions at the Shenandoah Conservatory.

Responsible for supervising and mentoring student’s working in the Utah State
University Department of Theatre Arts’ production shops and studios. Areas supervised
included properties, set dressing, scenic art, scenic construction, costumes, and costume
crafts. Additional responsibilities included tracking shop budgets, managing build
timelines and production deadlines, and organizing and maintaining the largest
collection of costumes and props in the intermountain region.
