topic:
the dependence on neighbours nowadays is less as compared to past

The essential question of the prompt is whether the dependence on neighbours is

less as compared to past. Some
people if asked would agree with the statement that yes, dependence on neighbour
s is less nowadays while
some others could point out that the question is double edged due to great deal
of factors of involved. As far as i am concerned, i adopt a
firm position that dependence on neighbours is less in the present time in comp
arison with the past . The opinion is based on the
notion that , in the modern times life is so fast that people hardly interact wi
th each other and evolution of technology have reduced the possible get together
s.
To begin with, with the advent of modern technology , most of the people are bus
y with their gadgets or spend
spare time gazing at television or computer. In earlier times, neighbours were us
ed to interact with each other more often, women used to discuss
about topic likes what they have made for the lunch , daily soupes , latest movi
es and other family problem . Nowadays, situation is so
worse that you hardly know your neighbours name. From my personal experience , i

can recall that when i was young , my friends in the

neighbourhood used to come to my house and play football on daily basis. Someti
mes they were accompanied by there mothers also, and
ladies would enjoy there get together. At that time , we had that sense of commu
nity which the modern world lacks and
is more concerned of making fast money.

Hence, in addition to latest devices, people have become more wealthier than bef
ore and now opt to live in suburbs rather than living in
downtown. With the increase in wealth, people look for luxurious pent houses an
d appartments where all kinds of comforts like
swimming pools , gym and other kind of facilities are present in the house only
. Due to which peopel rarely get out of their home .
I can recall my friend in high school who was from a wealthy family and lived
in suburban area. He always complained about having less number of friends and e
ven if he had to visit
the nearest neighbour for some help, he used to walk 3 kms. This example clearly
illustrates that distance between the houses has
adversely affected the communication between neighbours.
.

Finally, in combination of modern technology and distance between houses , i th

ink that most of us do not have time to
interact with other people and we always try to cope up with pace of life.In thi
s professional world , you have to dedicate most of the time to your
work and hardly get any time for yourself. Even the working hours of an individu
al may vary. At present i live in such a area where most of the people
belong to working class . My neighbour works in the night shift and comes in the
morning . On seldom occassions i get a chance to see his face. This clearly
shows that dependence on neighbours have declined. Admittedly , despite of the p
resence of reasonable evidence to the contrary
, some of the people will argue that there is no difference in the interaction
with the neighbours on the premise that
everbody needs help of there neighbours every now and then which makes the conv
ersation more involving
However, such position should be taken with a grin of salt.
Considering the factors involved in deciding the amount of interaction with neig
hbours, i have explored various issues like
effects of modern technology ; change of place for housing and the struggle to
keep up with fast running life. These factors may not seem to be
persuasive to all and may not alter there decision , but they have driven me to
believe that , in present time , the dependence on neighbours have
decreased.

It is more important to work at a job you enjoy than it is learn a lot money
ESSAY RESPONSE:
Imagine yourself as a final year graduate student , and you have two offer lett
ers from reputed companies.
First one offers you a lucrative package but job is not related to your field of

interest and on the other hand,

second organisation offers you a job from your domain with less annual package a
s compared to another one.
You will be in quite a dilemma in making your decision. If you are driven by the
factor of money, certainly you would choose
former and if by interest, you would choose latter. If i put myself in your shoe
s, i would definately go with
a job which is related to my interest area and not going after money.
To begin with, a person who would choose a job from his prowess set is expected
to face
challenges during the initial days, but when his hard work is acknowledged by th
e higher authorities , he is likely
to get more success in financial and non-financial terms. He is deemed to perfo
rm well for the organisation
which would lead him to get promotions at early stage. Also, he would be awarded
with appraisals and salary
hike , that can prove to be a motivating factor for him and he might work even m
ore hard. Such employees
are the main assets for an organisations.

As a famous cliche goes,' Rome was not built in a day'. Simlarly , success doesn
t come easily and it take lots
of efforts to reach your prime goal.A person who would choose a lucrative job wi
ll definately make money, but
will always be deprived of a feeling called " job satisfaction " A person who o
pts for a job due to the compensation he
would recieve , he would not able to perform at his highest level. Ultimately ,
the comapany would not
value such an employee and would reciprocate by either laying him off or by not
giving him salary hikes.
A saturation period will come and he will feel that his main motive is not being
served i.e receiving a handsome
paycheck, he will finally end up quiting the job.

Life is not all about making money. When you will be 60(age) and think about wha
t have you achieved in your
life, there is high probability that you may regret your decision of not choosin
g to work in your interest area and wasting
years running after money. There was sheer possibilty that you may have received
more success, financialy as well as socially
if you would have choosen interest over money.Consider the example of Mr. Bill G
ates, the "WINDOWS MAN", if Mr. Gates
would have opted to complete his high schooland followed the standard high scho
ol-job-make money pattern, it is quite possible
that world would have remained window'less . This computer revolution and adven
t of modern technologies would not have been possible if such
great people would have been driven by the force of making money. Success is abo
ut making diference , not money and these people made
a huge difference.
In considering the factors for choosing correct career option, i have explored v
arious issues like job satisfaction
: reaching the zenith in your field of interest and making a difference . The
se reasons may not be

persuasive for all , and would not alter there decision but they lead me persona
lly to believe that choosing a job
in your interest area would be a better option.

topic-online classes are better or traditional classes?
With the advent of modern technology, computers have made their mark in every fi
eld. Nowadays,
every working system is automated and most of the work is done using computerise
d machines.
But there are few grey areas where computer is less effective , education is one
of the exception.
From my perspective , no computer or robot can act as subsitute of a Teacher and
can not replace
traditional school system which provides disciplined learning , excellent faci
lties and experienced teachers
firstly, traditional classes offers you a disciplined life which computer is inc
apable of doing . School
provides a balanced atmosphere in which each subject is given equal importance.
On the other hand,
a student learing from an online course is devoid of such experience. By gaining
knowledge of multiple
subjects, it broadens the horizons of knowledge of young minds. School aims at
developing a well planned curriculum
so that every student progress gradually. Online courses are confined to only o
ne subject.
consider situation in which a student is interested in studying only medicines ,
if he is using online
material ,he will concentrate only on this particular subject . But if the sam
e student attends a school, he will
also gain knowledge of mathematics and management. This could help him to fetch a
job easily and make
him stand ahead of his counterparts. Also , at such a tender age students are no
t able to decide which
subject they wish to study , in such a situation teachers can give them better g
uidance with
the help of their valuable experience.

In addition to disciplined study, traditional classroom settings offers more fac

ilities than online classes.
It is not pragmatically possible to buy every equipment and modern gadgets . In
such a condition, school
are more beneficial where you can avail various facilities. For example, if a st
udent wish to study chemistry , its
not practically feasible to buy volatile liquids and other harmful chemicals an
d also

without prior knowledge ; its quite risky to work with them at home . But school
s offers complete safety
of your pupil , since there are experienced lab assistants and teachers are pres
ent in the lab who can
teach and guide them , also at the same time keep an eye.
In combination of well planned curriculum and better facilities , the presence o
f experienced teachers make
traditional school stand tall in front of online classes. In a classroom setting
, students are in direct contact
with the teacher and in situation of doubt , they can ask the tutor to clear it.
teachers are quite approachable,
and in case a student faces any kind of problem , teachers do help them . When y
ou are studying in a traditional
class, you get a chance to know people from different backgrounds. Such a settin
gs enables you to
get indulged into discussions , and it helps you think from others perspective a
lso. Student learn to
work in a team and that feeling of team work helps them in professional life als
o.
In considering the factors for choosing correct career option, i have explored v
arious issues which makes
traditional classroom setting more effective than online learing such as
disciplined culture of schools, better facilities and experienced teachers . Th
ese reasons may not be
persuasive for all , and would not alter there decision but they lead me persona
lly to believe that traditional
classrooms are better than online classes.

topic:
It has been said, Not everything that is learned is contained in
books. Compare and contrast knowledge gained from experience
with knowledge gained from books. In your opinion, which source
is more important? Why?
response:
Books are considered as man's best friend, but it is always a topic of debate th
at whether books are sufficient
to gain comprehensive knowledge. In my perspective , books are not enough to att
ain complete knowledge and
each individual should definately have some practical work experience .
To begin with, books does not surfeit the never ending zeal of humans to learn a
nd understand about a particular
subject in detail. .i think that one book is not sufficient to completely under
stand a topic and you are required to
skim through various books in order to understand and sometimes mug up the enti
re concept. During my
university days, i chose chemistry as my elective subject and did not opt for c
hemistry lab . Chemistry

is more inclined towards practicals rather than just theory classes. Due to thi
s i never got a chance to see how
these theories work in reality and that class was of no use for me. From this i
concluded that, just having knowledge
from the books wont help you to sail through and would hamper your chances of g
etting better opportunities in life.

In addition to only theoritical knowledge ; i think that without implemention ,

it is quite difficult to understand a
specific concept. There is no "silver bullet" or a magical way to attain knowled
ge , for which you are needed
to zero in practical experience, work hard for years in that particlar industry,
learn from your mistakes and observe
what have you done in a correct manner.Consider an example of civil engineer. In
this era, with the advent of technology
it is possible to construct those colossial skyscrapers and gigantic buildings
. But think of a situation if these civil
engineers are confined to classrooms or cabin rooms only, building such enineer
ing marvels . There might be some theories which are not valid ,
those can be tested with practical experiments and its observation may suggest t
he required changes to be made to the already
defined concept. Observations stand tall in front of mere facts.
Whenever you fail in an experiment , you have just found a new way of not doi
ng it whereas if you suggest
a new theory just on the basis of facts , there is sheer possibility that it mig
ht not be practicaly feasible to implement.
By exemplifying young graduates, what is the need to provide training to them be
fore joining any organisation? Since they have already
gone through books related to their coursework, Answer is quite simple and corro
borates my opinion which is
to enrich themselves with practical knowledge. There is plethora of fields in wh
ich work experience dominates bookish
knowledge. Even though a flip side also exist which demand more of knowledge fro
m books rather than practicals, such as
studying literature but majority supports working experience.

Considering the topic related to grasping knowledge , i have explored various is

sues such as inability of books
to impart complete knowledge and understanding; implementation of suggested th
eories and importance of
practical work experience . These factors have driven me to reach a conclusion
that practical knowledge
holds more importance than bookish knowledge which helps us to think pragmatical
ly.

Q 2:Government should allocate more money on children (5-10 years) education tha
n on universities
.Do you agree or disagree.

Imagine yourself as parent of a five year old child . You are not financially st
rong, and still want to provide
education to your child. But seats in public schools are limited and private sch
ools you can not afford.
In such a situation you want a helping hand from goverment, right? Well some p
arents can bear the cost of
education but majority may not. In my perspective , i believe that goverment sho
uld allocate more money on children
education as compared to funding the universities so that no child is deprived o
f education due to lack of funds available.
To begin with , bringing money in children education department will certain
ly be beneficial to majority
of people. It would result an increase in number of schools where children can
recieve quality education.
Capital investment for children would raise the standard of teaching , basic fac
ilties for students and programs
like mid -day meals would be affordable for schools. From my personal experience
, during my high school
days there was a student who was not financially strong but was a meritorious.
. Due to his voracious zeal
to learn and work hard , he got selected for a reputed course in National Def
ence Academy . So, i think that
if we provide proper education to every child irrespective of their financial s
tatus, they can do wonders. But
without attending aschool it is pragmatically not possible ,which explains that
a strong foundation should be laid
so that there is no loop hole in the entire educational structure.
In addition to the issue of laying a strong foundaion , i think investing more
in children education will eradicate
the problem of child labour. Hunger , starvation and lack of awareness about ed
ucation are the added perils
in rural settings. Children even at the age of 5 years , start working to suppor
t their family . At such a nascent stage,
where a child should have pencils and colors in his hand, he is often seen clean
ing tables or serving tea.
Child labour is a major issue on the global platform , which can be alleviated b
y quality and affordable
education . On the contrary if majority of capital is invested in univesity proj
ects, these universities
might loose some great minds , who are . In my opinion , we need to
focus more on these children because we dont know when these young minds might
play a role of fabric in nurturing
a better society.
Finally , in combination of clearing basics at the lowest level and child labour
problem , universities can
manage their funding from private firms and other resources but is not practica
lly possible for
young children. Some people may not agree with my opinion , but majority can re
late well to my stand as
they may think that by not investing more in universities , goverment may hinder
the development of the country.
If university can arrange its funds from alternative resources such as private
companies , this may reduce

burden on goverment from granting them higher amount of money , which can shif
t the focus of goverment
towards children education.
In considering the issues related with allotment of money for children , i have
explored issues such as strong
foundation ; eradication of child labour and alternative resources. These factor
s lead me to believe that major
part of investment should focus on providing education to children rather than
universities. It would be better if such a
model becomes generic across all teritary institutions , as it would lead to
for children
