Suspension

The suspension applied for the equipment is hydraulic equalizing suspension, which distributes the load equally to all axles.
The range of vertical movement at the axle is 600 mm.
Three-point support or four-point support may be selected for each formation. Suspension of vehicle can be switched
between three-point support and four-point support with a two-way cock.
However, the three-point support shall be selected during lifting operations. When the four-point support is selected, the
display indicates the oil pressure of the suspension and the load, but not the location of the center of the gravity.
Lifting operations are possible even while the carrier is moving. However, this applies only when the three-point support is
selected, and the steering wheel is locked during the operations.
The traveling speed may be decreased if the lifting function is used while the carrier is moving.

Range of Formations

For a close formation

The maximum number of power packs that can be connected with each other and permit mutual control is eight.
Number of carriers that can be connected to a power pack
The maximum number of axles per power pack is 16.
The maximum number of vehicles that can be connected to each other and permits automatic recognition is 32. (A six-axle
vehicle shall be counted as one vehicle, and two three-axle vehicles shall be deemed equivalent to one six-axle vehicle.)
Longitudinal direction
Shortest unit: Cab + Power pack + One three-axle vehicle + Counterweight, OR
Remote control box + Power pack + One three-axle vehicle + Counterweight
Longest unit: Cab + Power pack + Four six-axle vehicles, OR
Remote control box + Power pack + Four six-axle vehicles
Lateral direction
Up to four power packs and 16 vehicles
For a Widening formation
The maximum number of power packs that can be connected with each other and permit mutual control is 16.
The maximum number of connected vehicles is 64. (A six-axle vehicle shall be counted as one vehicle, and two three-axle
vehicles shall be deemed equivalent to one six-axle vehicle.)
The minimum gap for Widening is 50 mm, which applies to both longitudinal and lateral directions.
Longitudinal direction
The maximum gap between vehicles is 25,000 mm for Widening.
Lateral direction
The maximum between the centers of vehicles is 25,000 mm for Widening.
Maximum dimensions of a loading platform in a Widening formation
Maximum length 9,420mm x 4 vehicles +25,000mm + 9,420mm x 4 vehicles = 100,360mm
Maximum width 25,000mm x 4 columns + 3,200mm = 78,200mm
Formation recognition
Widening formation
The following parameters shall be entered for the formation recognition of an arbitrary vehicle formation. Center of the
loading platform (x-axis, y-axis coordinate) located by assuming a three-axle vehicle Formation angle identified by assuming
a three-axle vehicle Longitudinal wheelbase of the vehicles in the formation Lateral wheelbase of the vehicles in the
formation Empty weight of the vehicles in the formation Position of the center of gravity of the vehicles in the formation
(x-axis, y-axis coordinate) Number of axles in each block of suspension Position of each block of suspension (x-axis, y-axis
coordinate)
For this formation, the number of hydraulic motors per one power pack varies from two to 16. This means that the traveling
speed is increased up to eight times depending on the number of motors if the discharge rate of the hydraulic pump
remains unchanged. If the number of motors is two (one three-axle vehicle) or four (two three-axle vehicles and one six-axle
vehicle), the maximum permissible revolving speed of the motors will be exceeded, resulting in damage to the motors.
Therefore, the alarm in the cab is set for activation when the traveling speed exceeds the permissible range (up to 9 km/h)
and an interlock is not set. (See the traveling performance diagrams AD-601872 to 601879.)
The carrier permits switching between three driving modes of Normal, Inching, and Downward Slope.
Normal mode: The traveling speed changes depending on the engine revolving speed and road load.
Inching mode: The engine revolving speed is fixed and the traveling speed is controlled with electric commands.
Downward Slope mode: The motor capacity is kept at the maximum level to prevent the carrier from sliding down the slope.

STEERING
The steering system applied for this carrier is computer-controlled hydraulic rack and pinion steering. The maximum steer
angle is 110 in either direction, which permits traveling in any direction.
The steering mode can be selected from Normal, Parallel, Wiper Turn, and Spin Turn modes. In the Normal mode, a pitch of
half of the wheelbase can move the steering center.

Safety Devices
As a heavy goods vehicle, the carrier indicates
the following safety information on the display.
Maximum permissible load
Load
Position of the center of the gravity of the loaded cargo
Permissible range of axle load
Stability triangle
Inclination angle of the floor surface (in the lateral direction)
Oil pressure of the suspension cylinder
Floor level (Tire deflection is not taken into account.)
As a heavy goods vehicle, the equipment indicates the following safety information on the touch panel.
Types of abnormality sensor
