Brochure

Description
Folding brochure that includes an original logo.
Objective
Set up and align a two-sided, folded document that includes
an original logo. Also ncorporates at least four quality
images, not including the logo. One being clipped in
Photoshop and text-wrapped in InDesign. At least 250 words
of original copy.
Process
I created my gate fold brochure in Adobe InDesign, where I
measured and cropped my picture for the cover in
Photoshop. Inside of the brochure the background image
covers the entire page and I added in the images from google
around it. For the back cover I used a couple images from the
web and also the logo I made in Adobe Illustrator with the
rectangle and star tool.

Description
Montage with a spiritual message and design. Created all in
Adobe Photoshop using at least 2 pictures.
Objective
Unify a layout with a consistent theme and dominant spiritual message and learn to blend two or more images together
gradually, using masks. Use a mask to apply a filter to one
part of the image. Apply typography principles to the design.
Process
I found 4 different images on the web to create this design on
Photoshop. Started with the foggy tree picture, then Christ
(which I flipped around), the old paper and finally the script
paper. I used the blending tool to create the montage and
added a Black and White filter to the bottom layers.

Description
Logo for a company that I created.
Objective
Use only the Illustrator tools to create and draw your logos. Refine
one logo with variations for color
Process
Used adobe illustrator to come up with the logo. I used the circle
shapes to form it. After that I downloaded different font and used
those in my logo. I used the grouping tool to bring them all together
and then copied them to create the three different versions. I used a
monochromatic color scheme.

Business Card

Description
Business card for a business that I created with an
original logo.
Objective
Create a new logo to fit a company or personal image.
Use the new logo to design layouts for a business card.
Business card should be 3.5 x 2. Apply typography
rules, keeping small copy. Include contact information:
name, address, phone, website, and email on each piece
Process
I created my logo in Illustrator then put it together in
InDesign. I created the palm leaves with the pen tool
and the trunk of the palm tree with the star shape.
I then drew four individual lines and grouped it all
together to finish the logo. Then I created the card
layout, added my info and then cropped the logo to
make it bigger on one side and smaller on the other.

Description
Black and White flyer to promote Graduate Leadership Conference.
Objective
Apply the design principles and use appropriate typography.
Incorporate basic InDesign skills to improve basic flier layout.
Process
Drew four different sketches of what my flier could potentially look
like. I created the title by using one big grey box and typing in the
words the surrounding the word Leadership with a clear box with
a white boarder. I used rectangular boxes that I shrunk down to
make the lines dividing the information. I rearranged some of the
body copy and inserted a logo and image that I picked which was
provided for the task.

Event Ad

Description
A full-bleed color event ad to promote a fundraiser
using only Microsoft Word and a scanner.
Objective
Comprehend image sizing and find, scan and import
a high-quality image.
Create a full-bleed design and choose a color scheme
and typeface(s) that work for your message and
audience. Learn to use only Word design features.
Process
I scanned an image and made that the entire
background of the event flier. I then added a
rectangular box at the bottom of the page and used
the same green color from the shirt in the photo for
the background then made it more translucent. I use
white font to explain what the flier was about and
where the event was.

Photo Design

Description
Demonstrate Photoshop skills and incorporate color
schemes into an original photo and full-bleed layout.
Objective
Use a digital camera to take a quality image, then download
it. Adjust image levels, saturation, color balance, sharpen
tool on separate layers for NDE (non-destructive editing.)
Size and crop the image, then place on an 8.511 page layout.Use layers to design text, and repeating graphic elements.
Process
I took this picture inside and I used specific objects to create
the color scheme I wanted to use which was monochromatic.
I changed the sharpness, vibrancy, levels and color selection
to create the bright colors in the photo. I designed the layout
and added the circles for the color swatches. I added the
quote to complete the look

Letterhead

Description
Letterhead created for a business that I created with an original logo.
Objective
Create a new logo to fit a company or personal image. Use the new
logo to design consistent layouts for a letterhead. Letterhead should
be 8.5 x 11, Keep designs simple with light watermarks and drop
shadows and plenty of white space. Include contact information:
name, address, phone, website, and email on each piece.
Process
Created my logo in Illustrator then put it together in InDesign.
I created the palm leaves with the pen tool and the trunk of the
palm tree with the star shape. I then drew four individual lines and
grouped it all together to finish the logo. I made the letter head
with the logo and dots across the top and bottom. I then
added the logo for the watermark and changed the
opacity to 3%.

Description
A website created to explain my process in a personally created logo.
Objective
Size and optimize an original logo Write content to describe the
process of creating your logo. Acquire a working knowledge of
HTML. Acquire a working knowledge of CSS. Customize webpage
and identify hex colors to match logo.
Process
I created a website using Notepad++. I wrote out the code and put in
all of my information about a logo that I had created in adobe Illustrator. I used Photoshop to pull out the colors and incorporate them
into my website using CSS. I changed some of the information in CSS
to change the colors, fonts, size and look of my webpage. I also
used the HTML validator to see if there was anything wrong in
my code or anything missing which was very helpful.

Objective

Process
First i looked online for inspiration for a design. I came up with this
logo from looking at pictures of abstract paintings and art. From there I
decided to go with and art studio as my business. After that i played with
the colors to find something interesting and went with a monochramtic
red, color scheme.
