mentioned to the sage SUta that you already told us the virtues and greatness of the

the Lord nArAyoNd) was the expert in narrating the purANAs by exposing their intricate
phylosophic meaning.

The story of the Lord SrlnivAsa is so thrilling and great that it cannot be explained by
anybody to think of. (The purANAs say even brahma cannot dare to explain). Just by
hearing the great story of SrlnivAsa, one gets rid of all the sins, gets liberated from the
cycle of births and deaths (mOksham) and also one finds his/her virtuous deeds and acts
embellished.

might be: The vAyu dEva was either deeply disturbed by the poverty of his student or
very much concerned with the misery (due to poverty) of the devoted wife and children
of his student.

Sometimes, when the time is right to put an end to the miseries of an individual (dAridrya
parihAram), the Lord works mysteriously to help him or her. Due to the unperturbed
tseadfast devotion to the Lord vishNu, vAyu dEva might have considered to help him to
get out of the misery caused by poverty.

The Sishya dEvaSarma got convinced by the guru's words and he did not want to disobey

bound to get the utmost benefit out of that advice (even the presence of the Almighty
SrlnivAsa). He is the guru who shows the right path to prosperity (SrEyassu) and wisdom
(j~nAnd) leading to mOksha. The others are not real gurus. Only the real guru can show
the right path of devotion leading to salvation.

It is

an established fact that one gets

concentration and steadfast faith in the Lord if he or she undergoes proper training from a

guru and eventually gets blessed by the guru for his or her dedication and devotion
sincerity. Such a sense of devotion and dedication cannot be obtained by reading
spiritual books and scriptures alone. If one does not get blessed by his or her guru, the
individual will only acquire half-baked knowledge (which is not at all good very often).
Half-baked knowledge will lead one to ignorance, the root cause of ego. Innocence is

Lord! Those, who insult You with pride and prejudice, lead life with pain and grief due
to a lot of difficulties in all directions and eventually suffer the drudgeries of the hell
after death.

Even though people say "O! the God gave me these difficulties even though I do not
deserve, etc." the Lord is always merciful. He will not cause any hardship to the
individual by Himself But a person experiences grief and sorrow due to his/her own bad
deeds (done either in his/her current life time or in the previous births) as ordained by the
Lord, the supreme witness of one's deeds. But by devotedly worshipping Him with
remorse, He will be so pleased that He will totally mitigate or reduce (or give strength to
bear ) the grief and sins of a person depending on the level of devotion. If one insults the
Lord with pride and prejudice, the Lord will be simply watching the fun while the
,

individual has to suffer fully his/her share of suffering due to the consequences of the
individual's accumulated and current bad deeds. That is the law of nature. One has to
suffer the consequences of one's actions and deeds. Unfortunately, under those
circumstances, the people start cursing the God for the difficulties facing them. That is
nothing but ignorance.

Day-to-day life is like a jungle. A jungle is a place where wild animals thrive on the
philosophy "survival of the fittest" by killing one another and the weakest ones (which
are without any protection) become "a prey" to the strongest ones. Similarly the samsAra
(i.e., the day-to-day life) is full of obstacles, suffering from diseases, poverty, distress,
fear, erosion

due to ego,

pride, prejudice, jealousy, selfishness, lust as well as immorality.

O Lord, I am

Yet, You are indifferent to the universe. You

are the richest fellow, ever blissful and happy. You have the glowing glitter of an
aggregate of a ten million bright suns put together. At the same time, You are very cool
like an aggregate of a ten million cool bright moons put together.

O Lord! You are not comprehensible to the Deities like brahma and others, even

through
vEdAs. You do not have the visible physical virtues like all the others. You are embraced
by the Goddess lakshmi and the Mother earth. You are always worshipped by the Deities
like brahma, rudra and others. O such a supreme Lord vEmkaTESa, I always pray to

(i.e., as described so far from the beginning of First Chapter to the SlOka 5-54), the

and steadfastly with sincere and dedicated devotion. Later, he prostrated before his
beloved Lord vEmkaTESa who is dedicated to the devotees in fulfilling their desires.

Thus

Then, the Lord SrlnivAsa, the One who liberates the devotees from bondages, did please
with the above invoking SlOkAs and spoke to dEvaSarma with thunder-like resounding
