PRINCESS CABARDO FRANCISCO
I, PRINCESS CABARDO FRANCISCO, Filipino, of legal age,
single, a resident Door 14, 3rd floor, Building 2, Essons Manor,
Barangay Sambag II, Cebu City, Philippines, and currently the
paralegal of Mitchell and Morrison Law Office, after having been
sworn to in accordance with law, do hereby depose and state that:
1. I was examined by ATTY. LEO JOSELITO E. BONO who is
holding office at Bono, Adan, Mier, Magaso & Famor Law
Office, Wiz Khalifa Bldg. I2, I.T. Park, Cebu City, Philippines, in
the said office;
2. I answered the questions the examining lawyer asked fully
conscious and I do so under oath knowing fully that I may face
criminal liability for false testimony or perjury.

Q: Do you swear to tell the truth and nothing but the

truth?
A: I do.

Q: Are you the same petitioner in this case pending

before the Regional Trial Court, Branch 12, Cebu
City?
A: Yes, I am.

3.

Q: Where do you live?

A: I live in Door 14, 3rd floor, Building 2, Essons
Manor, Barangay Sambag II, Cebu City,
Philippines.

4.

Q: How long have you been a resident of such place?

A: for sixteen (16) years, or more than three (3)
years prior to the date of the filing of the petition.

5.

Q: What is your current name?

A: I am Princess Cabardo Francisco.

6.

Q: You have been known by this name since when?

A: since birth.

7.

Q: When were you born?

A: on November 7, 1985.

8.

Q: Who are your parents?

A: I am the illegitimate child of Joime Anne
Churvaekels Cabardo and Jean Paul Bebe
Francisco

9.

Q: Are you living with your parents?

A: No, my mom just recently left for the United
States last year.

10.

Q: How about your dad?

A: we do not live in the same house.

11.

Q: Why is that so?

A: He has another family. He is currently living in
Sudlon, Lahug, Cebu City.

Q: Have you ever tried to contact your father?

A: Yes, I tried contacting him for the past couple
of years but he didnt heed any of my calls.

Q: Has your father supported you?

A: No, he has never supported me for thirty
years.

14.

Q: Can you please elaborate further?

A: He has never supported me financially,
emotionally and physically. It was my mother who
raised and supported me for thirty years.

15.

Q: Have you always known your status as an

illegitimate child?
A: No, I have always thought I was born in
wedlock.

Q: When did you gain knowledge about your

illegitimacy?
A: When I asked for an authenticated copy of my
certificate of live birth last February 14, 2016 in
the Philippine Statistics Authority. I was shocked
to see that no name was placed in the father
entry.

Q: What did you do afterwards?

A: I called my mom and asked her about it.

18.

Q: What did she tell you?

A: She told me the truth, that they were never
married with my father.

19.

Q: So you have not known this before?

A: No, whenever I ask my mother about it, she
always told me that my father just moved away.
Whenever I try to ask about their wedding
pictures, she always answered that termites ate
it. I contacted my father for how many years
using the number I found in the phone directory,
but every time someone answers the call, the
person answering would always say that no Jean
Paul has ever lived in that house.

Q: What happened after you knew of your

illegitimacy?
A: I went to my fathers address, the one my
mom gave me when she confessed.

Q: And then what happened?

A: I found out that he has another family. I told
him that I was his daughter but he asked me to
leave immediately.

Q: Did you?
A: Yes, I left immediately. From that moment I
knew where I stand with him.

Q: How come you went to the Philippine Statistics

Authority to ask for an authenticated copy of your
certificate of live birth?
A: I was applying for a scholarship program in
the University of Cambridge for a Masters
degree in International Studies.

Q: I am showing you an original copy of an

application form for a scholarship program in the
University of Cambridge, attached as Annex F.
Kindly identify and examine this document.
A: (Witness is shown a copy of the document)
This is the document I filled up for my application
for a scholarship program in such University.

25.

Q: Why are you filing this petition?

A: it would erase the impression that I was
recognized by my father who I recently found out
had been convicted of Homicide. My mother is
also contemplating on petitioning for me to join
her in the United States to facilitate me in my
studies if my application in the University of
Cambridge would be granted.
3. I also attest that the attachments of this Judicial Affidavit
are faithful reproductions of their corresponding original
copies.
