Hosea 4:6 My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge:

April 2010

Dear Pastor and Praying Friends

Thank you for your continued support and prayers. We are all doing well, though it has been a busy
couple of months.

As many of you know, my father’s condition was very poor due to the progression of Alzheimer’s. April
1st, at approx 2:00 PM, he passed away due to complications from pneumonia. I was at his bedside with
my sister at his passing, and was glad the Lord allowed us to be there. We held his funeral on April 15th,
allowed
and were very blessed to have family and friends from all over BC come to be with us at the service.

After talking to my sister, it was agreed that I would officiate the service, and preach at the end.
en It was a
huge blessing. I cannot tell you how hard that seemed to me, but the Lord gave me grace, and I was able
to gently and clearly present the gospel to some 70 or so friends and relatives, the majority of whom were
not saved. No one got saved as a result to my knowledge, but all heard clearly, and the door remains open
to talk to many of them further. Please pray for my family, they are a proud, self reliant lot who most of the
time cannot see their need for God.

Since then we have been dealing witwith

h the issue of settling the will. No problems, just a process of
paperwork that needs to be followed. Trips to the accountant, the lawyer, and the bank seem like a daily
occurrence to ensure all is in order.

From all these trips, I have made a great cont

act at my dad’s bank. I sat with a lady named Peggie
Chabot to fill out paperwork, and the lord gave me the opportunity there in her office to witness to her for a
half hour or so. She has a saved nephew here, and he has told her of the Lord, but his testimony
testi is not
clear. It was good to reinforce the truth that he had expressed to her, and to see her show interest in
visiting the church. It troubles me not when people contemplate the gospel before choosing Christ, for that
would describe me before my conversion.
ersion.

The weather has warmed up, so we are able to be out more regularly door to door. Please continue to
pray for the Aggiss family, they are faithful, and we appreciate them. Susan, the mother, recently lost her
aunt, the funeral is Saturday, May 1st in Maple Ridge B.C., and her 81 year old stepfather who lives with
them has been diagnosed with leukemia. This has increased the burden they bear, but their spirits are
good. They are not complainers, but I would appreciate it if you would pray for them.

Thank you again.

Your Servants in Christ
