2 Coursework
All coursework will be made available through AUTOnline.
2.1
Weekly work
Overview
A two-hour lecture and a two-hour workshop will be held as specified in
the course weekly schedule.
The weekly lectures will primarily introduce and explore the ITIL
framework and lifecycle.
The weekly workshops will primarily concentrate on interpreting the
framework and applying it in the context of the case study and other
practical situations.
It is strongly recommended that you attend all lectures and workshops.
Because of the nature of the course content, you may struggle to
understand some material and keep up with the class if you miss lectures
or workshops. Full attendance and participation will significantly increase
your chance of succeeding and of achieving a higher final grade.
The recommended total weekly course work is 102 hours: 12 weeks @ 8
hours per week. This covers reading and preparation for lectures and
workshops, answering the continuous assessments questions and exam
preparation.
Lectures and workshops
Lecture slides will be available prior to the lecture. You are expected to
review and study the lecture slides before attending the lecture. The
lecture itself will assume you have some familiarity with the slide
contents.

Students are responsible for taking own notes during lectures and
workshops.
Students need to prepare for and attend all workshops. The workshop
each week will relate to the topics covered in the lecture that week - i.e.
the lecture and workshop are deliberately synchronised each week to
explore the same course material.
Students are expected to do the assigned reading and research, and come
to the weekly workshops prepared. During workshops, students are
expected to participate in group and individual activities, and actively
contribute.

Continuous Assessment
Students will be assigned readings and assessments. The assessment
readings and questions will be available in AUTOnline page of the paper.
Answers to the continuous assessments contribute 50% of the total mark
for the paper.
Written answers to the continuous assessments must be submitted via
AUTOnline on or before the due date of each assessment.
Late entries will automatically be scored with zero, and will not be marked.
Answers will be marked and the results will be made available, via the
Grade Centre in AUTOnline.
Plagiarism is treated seriously. Answers with suspected or confirmed
plagiarism will automatically be scored zero.

3 Final Examination
A 2-hour exam will be held during weeks 13-15. Date, time and locations
will be advised by AUT.
The exam will potentially cover any of the topics in the paper. Further
details of the exam will be given approximately around weeks 11 and 12.
