1. Release
LaBoo 5.0 Build 5006 (1bit tiff downloader system) software standalone singer user version; has
been thoroughly tested on Model E/F/G/VLF carried out by technology development group and CTP
workshop, and put into actual production at customer sites, hereby officially to release the Laboo 5.0
Build 5006! Release number: KLS002-2011 / 201601

2. Issue or fault:
Earlier model or device found incompatible with this new release Laboo 5.0 version, may require
further hardware upgrade or changes of device. The release version has no adaptation issues or fault
if being used with E Model or higher models. The Release note has no further detail explanation on
devices modification needed to run with this new release version on lower model other than
E/F/G/VLF Model.

3. Release content
3.1 New release software contains a full software installation file and a software upgrade file;
3.1.1 New device shipped out from factory is provided with both the full software installation file
and software upgrade file in the bundled LaBoo Software CD-ROM. Full software
installation file contains in the "LaBoo 5.0.06 Setup" folder, file size: 230M, that works for
all new models mentioned above;
3.1.2 Device which has been sold earlier bundled and running with LaBoo4.x, user may able to
download from internet (CRON website) or obtain the installation package "LaBoo 5.0.06
Setup", file size: 230M, from the new model that comes with LaBoo CD-ROM bundled.
3.1.3 User who is currently running with LaBoo5.0 with previous build version, please use the
software upgrade file in "LaBoo5.0.06 Upgrade" folder, file size: 47.1M, to upgrade the
current version to LaBoo5.0 Build 5006.
3.1.4 Both the LaBoo 5.0 Build 5006 software full installation file (size:230MB) and software
upgrade file (size:47.1MB) are available for download from internet (CRON website).

3.2 Software bugs resolved:

3.2.1,laboo has no response when the harddisk is full;
3.2.2,no response or response time is too long when pressing the 'stop' button when imaging
progress is at 80% or more;
3.2.3,image different templates,template upload fails when changing template,laboo has no
response;
3.2.4,laboo cannot get the color information when loading tif files,laboo cannot reboot;
3.2.5,In series output mode,no response when sending plate fails,after unloading of one
plate,next plate is been sending and caused plates crash;

3.2.6,when rebooting laboo,sometimes it will remind irrelative information'dst file version

unkown,please check manually' ;

3.2.7,in series output mode,sometimes it will stop automatically after one job is
finished,click'series output',laboo will work normally;

3.2.8, if not select'Enable voice warning when status error' in system setup of laboo,when
confirm the error,laboo is freezing;

3.3 Software new additional features:

3.3.1,In 'delete' folder of hotfolder,we add self-cleaning fucntion for it to avoid the hardisk is full;

3.3.2,Double plate sensor 2113S will detect double plate when CTP is detecting the plate length;

3.3.3,,Optimised many information content,including popup massages and error information;

3.3.4,Flexo CTP function are added;

3.3.5,Laboo 5006 supports win10 OS.

4. Precautions
4.1 New Laboo 5.0 Build 5006 software installation steps:
4.1.1 Save the current parameters to the device and file;
4.1.2 If user needs to re-install laboo, please uninstall/delete the existing LaBoo software
completely (including usb driver). After re-installing the new release version, please be
sure re-install with the new softwares usb driver.
4.1.3 After re-installing the software, please restart the CTP and read the parameters from
device or import from file;

4.1.4 Enter engineer mode to select or setup the device parameters, the machine model,
autoloader, laser types and so on;
4.1.5 Establish new parameters template;
4.1.6 Store the new device parameters.

4.2 Software Upgrade steps:

4.2.1 Save the current using parameters to the device and file;
4.2.2 Run the software upgrade package. After upgrading is completed, start the software;
4.2.3 Enter the main interface of LaBoo, reboot the CTP;
4.2.3 Enter engineer mode to confirm the device parameters by re-read parameters from
device or re-import the parameters from file if necessary;
4.2.4 Confirm the CTP, autoloader, punch bridge, laser type settings;
4.2.5 After confirmation, save the new parameters to the device and file.

4.3 For LaBoo 4.x software user, if intend to change and to install the new LaBoo5.0 (not support the
upgrade package), existing LaBoo dongle4 must be replaced with dongle 5 correspondingly, Boo.
Once changed to dongle 5, it cannot work downgrade with Laboo 4.x. For the authorized dealer
who has level 2 dongle 4 must change to level 2 dongle 5 in order to control level 3 dongle 5 for
users. Level 2 dongle 5 cannot generate dongle license code for level 3 dongle 4. (Dealers who
need to keep the control authority for level 3 dongle 4 can keep the level 2 dongle 4).

4.4 New release software and new CTP models apply higher encryption technology, software and
hardware used must comply and match encrypted requirement and parts used are
interchangeable with non-encrypted models. i.e;, laser box hardware(driver boards) and main
control board cant interchange with the previous version device(non-encrypted).
