R&D activities in OETG:

Development activity: Geothermal:

(Resonator AS)

• Development of an electric linear hammer solution, based upon own

proprietary technology. (Resonator AS)
• Adapt the hammer to speed up geothermal drilling time by 4 times.
(Reduced cost) (NEMEK AS)
• Development of low temperature energy converters. Less than 200
degrees Celcius to electricity. (SirkelEngine AS)
R&D activities in OETG:

Development: Thermal generation

One Earth Energy AS & SirkeleEngine AS:

• Development of substrates for use in thermal generation applications

(One Earth Energy AS)
• Up-scaling of substrates and componentry to achieve economy
(Compact Power Circuits AS)
• Protect the unique process related to manufacturing of substrates.
(IPR)
• Low temperature (< 200 degrees C) energy converters and
convectors are under test at our site at UMB. (Last 12 years)
R&D activities in OETG:
Research: BioHydrogen

• New activity based upon studies upon business potential and

distribution potential.
• Distributed production of Hydrogen (project application initiated with
Bioforsk & UMB)
• Scaling of process Bio-reactor equipment (Own development
prepared at OETG) Own manufacturing facilities for glass and
ceramics needed for ultra clean processes.
• Produce, licence, deliver, install, operate, and/or own, and /or finance
local and economically feasable local production units for Hydrogen,
Biomass and CO2 capture, in partnership with ”local” companies and
representatives WW. (Distribution & WW logistics is our experience.)
Partnerships: 1/2

Geothermal:
• The Norwegian partners are: Nemek AS, Telemark a manufacturer of drilling
rigs, and their partners in offshore industry
• An ongoing research activity at NTNU (Technical University), in Norway over
the last 6 years.
• A research program has covered the initial research on low temperature
energy converters. (Hot water to electricity) A research program at UMB over
the last 12 years.
Partner: SirkelEngine AS, owned 34 %.

Thermal generation:
• Development of substrates for thermal generation.
Partner: The University of Environment and Sciences at Ås, Norway
• Our own development related to substrates that are backed by proprietary
process knowledge. (Own facility at the University UMB.)
• Own IPR strategy related to processing.
Partnerships: 2/2
Hydrogen:

• Distributed production of Hydrogen from Algea (project application with

Bioforsk and UMB.
• WW search for manufacturers of Bioreactors, that can assist in an
early implementation of complete scaled up processing equipment.
(Student project at UMB)
• The build of a network with Universities (IIT Kharagpur, Uppsala
University, UMB, NTNU) are crusial to the recruitment of skilled
personell, also for our company and our future partners in India.
• These NEW business opportunities require competence that today
does not exist.
