Islamic Religious Knowledge Studies

Mahad As-Sunnah verifies that Muhammad Affan bin Khalid, passport number
E3350633A has officially enrolled into our school to complete a 3-year duration of
study, starting from 1st November 2015. He is currently is in his first year. He is
scheduled to complete his studies by 5th November 2018.
Throughout the 3-year course, our students are firstly taught to recite the Quran
with the correct rules of pronunciation and recitation (Tajweed). This is to
complement the main subject taught in the morning, which is Quranic
memorization.
In addition to that, our focus is also on the learning of Arabic language, phase by
phase, especially during the crucial basic stage of the first year. Various subjects
from the components of Arabic language are taught as according to the
curriculum. These include:
Arabic Grammar (Nahu)
Morphology (Sarf)
Writing and Dictation (Imlaak)
Other subjects taught in the curriculum include:
Islamic Creed (The 5 Pillars of Islam, The 6 Pillars of Faith, Islamic
Monotheism)
Sayings of the Prophet (Peace and Salutations be upon him). This subject
is further divided into smaller subjects like:

o Sahih Bukhari
o Sahih Muslim

Islamic Jurisprudence (Fiqh)
History of the companions of the Prophet (peace and salutations be upon
him).
During this 3 years of studies in Standard Level (SL) which is equivalent to lower
secondary studies (SMP 1, 2 and 3), we highly encourage student to pass their
end year examinations with credits in order to proceed in Higher Level (HL)
studies which is equivalent to upper secondary studies (SMA 1, 2 and 3) and this
will take up for another 3 years of studies and after completed this course, he
could enrol in LIPIA University or to Saudi Arabia to further his Islamic
Scholarship.
Our students are living within our premises in the dormitories, thus enabling us to
set out their schedule from morning till night. They will be performing the 5
obligatory prayers in the premises, with classes, revisions and other programs
after each prayer time.
Our students schedule for each day consist as such after each obligatory prayer:
0430 till 0700: Morning prayer and Quranic memorization with Tajweed lesson
(rules of pronunciation and recitation).
0700 till 0900: Breakfast and area cleaning
0900 till 1000: Arabic Language lesson
1100 till 1200: Islamic Creed Lesson
1230: Noon prayer (Dzhur) followed by lesson on History. This is then followed by
lunch.

1530: Afternoon Prayers (Asar), followed by lesson on Islamic Jurisprudence

(Fiqh)
1745: Arabic Language lesson
1800: Dinner and evening prayers, followed by lesson on Sahih Bukhari/ Sahih
Muslim [Sayings of the Prophet (peace and salutations be upon him)]
1930: Night Prayers followed by own revision till 2130
2130: Rest where 2200 is lights-off time
